pHat 5.5 Dermatitis Cream for Face

I don't have a sensitive nose at all, but this stuff smells like rancid milk. It's not something I can stand to have on my face. I tried a couple times, and eventually had to just wash it off, because the smell is so potent and unpleasant. I thought maybe the one I got had just gone bad, and returned it for an exchange, but the new one is the same. I have a hard time believing this is how it's supposed to smell (my wife and others agree), so maybe both containers are part of a bad batch? The expiration date is a year from now. I'm giving two stars because maybe the stuff is effective, if you don't have a sense of smell, and aren't around anyone who does? And because I don't think the manufacturer expects it to smell like this, and normally it probably doesn't, judging by most other reviews that seem satisfied with it. But I can only go off what I've experienced myself. I really basically never return products, but I'm probably going to suck it up and return this second one as well, because it's unusable.

UPDATE: This really works for me and I've been ordering it for years. I find the scent to be very mild and not unpleasant. The latest order arrived in a completely blank jar, with no safety seal, no label, only a small sticker on the lid - so no directions or list of ingredients. Also, the jar was also only about two-thirds full. I returned it, as it seemed odd and could even have been opened. The replacement just came and it's the same blank jar and no seal, but at least it's full and seems untouched and to be the cream usually order. The packaging is different now and NOT good. So be aware that you may receive a blank jar if you order this. My previous review is below. *** I've been using this every day on my eyelids and it works well to keep the dermatitis under control... until I have a major break-out. When it doesn't do the job I have to use a prescription cream. Desonide is the only that works for me in this case. However, I really like having a non-corticosteroid option for the mild days. It's light and the scent is mild - I use it anywhere I have dry skin on my face.

I got this as my face was getting dry and red to help. it kind of helped by moisturizing my skin and taking care of some itching but owerall it failed to help with the redness.

I guess it works ok. It smells kinda weird but the smell goes away after 10 minutes or so. Looks like a little goes a long way.

This stuff seems to work most days for SD around nose. It doesn’t really have much odor which I like. It does clump up around eyebrows. Works as good as many prescriptions tried. My only issue is it came with a broken lid (like it was overtightened? The outer package envelope was in good condition). Only a little leaked out so I was hoping to avoid sending it back to Amazon and just get a new lid. There is email on the jar and I emailed them to send me a new lid, but no response after several weeks.
