My husband and I have been married for over 30 years. We tend to get into a routine at night that isn’t very exciting. These cards have helped break that cycle. About twice a month we take turns picking out cards and we both answer them. It is a great way to start some really interesting discussions. I highly recommend this product.

I found Table Topics when I was looking for conversation starters for me and my husband. I was so intrigued by Table Topics that when I saw there were multiple categories I took a gamble and bought 4 sets! I bought Not Your Mom's Dinner Party, Couples, Family, and Girl's Night Out. Conversations from a single card could last anywhere from one minute to one hour! I have learned so much about myself, spouse, family and friends! Anyone we have played them with loves them as well. We keep them around the house so they are handy at all times. The high quality, clear boxes, are nice looking and sturdy. There are political, personal, fun, funny and thoughtful questions. If the question doesn't pertain to us or if we don't like it, we tweak it. Basically, it is your game, you make the rules! We also have a rule that in any scenario we have our ideal body (as defined by ourselves) and unlimited means :-). My husband and I have been together for over 25 years and we have discovered that somehow we don't know everything about each other! We have a hot tub and get in it most every night. We usually pick a card before we head out and have some great conversations thanks to Table Topics! It's not a question of IF you want to buy Table Topics, it's more like HOW MANY and WHICH ONES to buy!

The TABLETOPICS Couple's Questions are awesome! I bought these the first time while on vacation in a boutique store. My wife and I were driving for over 12 hours - and instead of just listening to the radio or talking about work or all the other things we tend to talk about, we started working our way through these questions. We've been married almost three decades and there were questions here that we've never asked - which led to fun and engaging conversation. We loved them so much, we purchased a ton of them for friends as gifts. If you are looking for new ways to spark your friendship - new ways to connect on a personal level - to have some fun or to get out of conversational ruts with your significant other - I highly recommend these questions. They come in an attractive acrylic box that is heavy enough to contain and protect the cards. It also makes them a little more elegant for a dinner out than just pulling out a cardboard box... presentation is important, and these are presented well. The questions are thoughtful and not redundant... and if you hit one that is taking the conversation in an unwanted direction, just veto it and move on... there are so many more cards! So, I highly recommend these.

Long story short: Generally awesome content! Not recommended for new couples or young teens! Please ignore the fact that the block of "cons" text is more than the "pros" text. There were in fact personally more pros than cons; it was very emotionally rewarding. CONTENT: 4.5/5 Most of the questions in this set were relatively excellent pertaining to the topic. A few of them, however seemed unpractical or totally unrelated to the topic - as my initial reaction, they were "fxxxing stupid". One of them asks, "How will relationships between men and women change in the next 30 years?" It's completely heteronormative, and it had nothing to do with my personal relationship with my boyfriend. I still don't know how to answer it! Another asks, "How compatible are our Zodiac signs?" Pretty ridiculous, but again, these were only a few cards. Most of them were wonderful, and each topic starter actually led to chain reaction of related topics. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES: 3/5 The box is a kind of thick acrylic or plastic. There aren't hinges or snapping locks, so it's simply one half of a cube for the cards to sit in and the other half acts as a removable lid. (Looking back on it now, I ripped the sleeve that wraps around the box, as you can see in the picture. I didn't know it at the time, but I guess it's what you're supposed to do is use the sleeve to keep the box from easily opening. Oops!) The cards themselves aren't even cardstock, just regular cardboard. A few of the cards' words were actually printed poorly. The physical state of a few cards disappointed me a bit seeing as I paid $30+ for it all. PROS /// WHO I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO: I would recommend this for people in committed, long-term relationships or who are married. The purpose of Tabletopics is to create a discussion, so I'd also recommend it to the couples who are comfortable enough to freely open up with each other. And again, the questions are capable of creating long discussions that will sometimes lead to a topic completely unrelated to the original question. The questions can help you both learn new things and reaffirm old things (the equivalent of hearing "i love you" out loud as opposed to just assuming or knowing you're loved). CONS /// WHO I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT TO: I barely regret buying this, mostly because of the fact that I had to pay anything at all. Most conversation starters could be found with a Google search. I think the thing that makes Tabletopics different is that it's been catered to with trial and error through those who have purchased it. Ignoring the taxes, shipping, and container, each question/card essentially costs about 19 cents. I definitely wouldn't recommend this for a newer couple, unless they pick and choose which questions to discuss. Some of the questions that would be too intimate or personal for a newer couple, but would be fine for a couple who have been together longer, at least 1 or 2 years. I also wouldn't recommend this for young teenagers! Not only because of the sex questions, but a few cards are clearly meant for adults. One of them asks, "What jobs did you have during your teenage years?" and another asks, "What do you remember about the changes of adolescence?" I also think if you're the type who doesn't like to open up or talk freely, this isn't for you. Answering each question with one or two sentences defeats the purpose. COUPLE BACKGROUND, if it helps anyone at all: I've been in a committed relationship for almost 4 years. My boyfriend is turning 19 in September and I'll be 22 in March. This was my first time buying a set of Tabletopics. I bought it with the intention of reconnecting with my boyfriend during a camping trip. We'd been having trouble making conversation with each other since he changed a lot after his first year of college. The cards helped us "re-learn" each other, as if forcing us to reflect on the people we were in the present as opposed the people we were when we first started dating. We pointed out each others strengths and faults without any conflicts. Today he said to my face, "I'm so glad you brought those cards with you."

Quality storage case for cards, plexi but looks like thick glass, looks nice on my nightstand. Thought-provoking cards really encourage conversation. We’ve learned new things about each other. When cards go on sale I will purchase other editions for family get togethers and gifts.

I bought this so my husband and I could have more conversations and get to know eachother better. My husband feels its brings good topics that arent talked about on a daily basis.... he feels it takes the stress about talking about serious topics out of it by making it fun. I love that it asks questions I would like to know but haven't asked because sometimes it's easier to answer a third party question then a direct question so no one takes everything so personal that they end up arguing. We haven't been through the whole stack but we both feel like it's helping our relationship. As long as one goes through the questions with an open mind and is willing to be serious about their answers and be REAL with their partner, it's great. The topics actually roll in to other conversations which I feel is worth the money. I'm glad I bought it.

These are fun questions that get you thinking we read one card every night before bed. My daughter even loved the idea so we got the family back as well. They really get you thinking.

I bought this to connect better with my boyfriend of about a year. Biggest factor in my rating is that he has little to no interest in using it, and I also think it's just kind of boring. Most of the questions can be answered in one sentence with little elaboration. Sometimes we would end up in an uncomfortable situation/argument when our answers were strongly opposite.But I do personally like breaking out the 'topic box' so we can learn more about each other, and we often do. I could see how the family/friends versions could be more fun. Overall, it's a nice product but wasn't worth $25 when I could've just googled '100 couple questions' for free.

Moi et mon copain on aime beaucoup. Petites questions simples et drôles qui portent sur différents sujets. La plupart des questions on abouti a des sujets de conversations qui ont duré des heures. Petit et discret, il traîne sur la table et quand l'envie nous prend en passant par là, on lit une question et on jase. Excellent pour diversifier les sujets de conversations et quand on aura terminé cette série on en acheta volontiers une autre.

I would say it’s insightful.. lots of questions even unexpected ones. Looking forward to use this in special couple gatherings.

Really fun to keep dinner out conversation going without the same old talk. Used it with my husband, been together 15yrs and have 3 kids. It was a great way to discuss things and keep the conversation fresh.
