CHANZON 100 pcs 5mm RGB Multicolor Slow Blinking Dynamics LED Diode Lights

I bought them to play with. They work well. I tested some and found the current varies as the colors change. With three volts applied, the currents varied from about 3 ma to 8 ma. per Led. They are nice and bright at this voltage. I did apply 5 volts to a few but was concerned about overworking them (very bright). They did not fail with currents between 12 ma to about 23 ma as colors change. The Led's vary a bit of time when powered together. Some will change colors faster than others making a better display. I could not find a hollow reflector to install them into.

The video was helpful. But I bought both speeds that change color (RGB) just to choose myself. Parts, you can never have too many. They are useful. I think I prefer the fast blinking ones. It is neat to plug in a light and it does everything by itself, no added circuitry. I used them in a holiday project and plan to build other things using them. Endless ideas. Even though I bought both at the same time, they came from different places and took different times to arrive (2.vs 3 weeks). It’s fine.

I have a couple vintage Apple IIe computers and on one of them, the bulb on the keyboard had burned out. I had a regular LED in there which worked fine but it was an old automotive bulb designed for 12V. It was working okay with 5V but dim so I found these. First, they change color on their own and I thought that'd be an interesting look for an old computer. If you wanted something more "stock" looking then find a solid color (green maybe) and there you go, but for a touch of whimsy these are pretty cool. To work with the 5V DC power of the bulb socket, I snipped one lead and soldered on a small 100 ohm resistor. I think all I had was a 1/4W which is just a bit too big but I made it work. Ideally a 1/8 W would have been a better choice, but I was working with what I had on hand. The 100 ohm on the 5V supply gives the LED what it needs... it's not too bright and it's fun to see it cycling through the colors. Again, maybe not for everyone, so get solid colors if you want, but for me this is fun. I wish they had smaller quantities because I only needed one or two, but the price for 100 of these is still small enough and I imagine I'll find some other fun projects for these in the future, replacing other burned out bulbs or replacing boring red LEDs on things.

Great little LEDs for doing projects. Alternates colors without having to do any circuitry. I just put 220 ohm resistor with a 5V supply and worked great to replace a circuit and 3 colored LEDs in some decorations. Love it and would highly recommend and would buy it again if needed.

I use the LED's as replacement lights for a string of 25 LED flashing/multi colored flashing Christmas lights. I do add a 90 ohm resistor to each LED to have the proper amount of amperage to each, and they work pretty well. I have had some (maybe, 10 to 15) of about 100, that stopped working prematurely. By prematurely, I mean, after about 300 hours of use. But overall, for the price, they are an inexpensive replacement light. It allows me to continue to use, what was an expensive, but cheaply made set of Christmas lights. It is nice to have the multi colors slowly flashing for holiday effect.

Well packaged and delivered quickly. Had to buy 100 to replace 1 in a USB Himalayan Salt Lamp. Desolder the old one off and installed the new one...works like a charm. Now I have 99 more replacements just in case...or I might just use them for something else... Highly recommended for Replacements & Craft Projects
