I don't understand how people complain about the cost. What are your animal eyes worth? You can choose another cheaper product that doesn't work or you can purchase Vetericyn. I use this for horses and cows. Sure, they complain about the spray (just startled) when you're administering it, but the weeping eyes sure feel better a little later when they clear up. I see improvement the next day. Darn flies. This eye preparation is truly amazing. I use it on everything and I mean everything, including myself. Just a great product. My 18 year old cat has had gunk buildup in his eyes from very young. He tends to scratch the bejeezuz outta his eyes. I've taken him to a million vets. They shrug their shoulders, take my money, and do nothing. Terramycin works great, but that's OTC everywhere but California (lame.) So until I could get some, I bought this and some cotton pads (not balls). I spray the pad and let him rub his eyes on it which he does since they itch. It's reassuring to know he's getting some disinfecting qualities along with. It didn't fix his problems in the week I was using it. And it's smells a teensy bit like bleach. But any kid who forgot his goggles at home can tell you he's still fine after opening his eyes under water, so I figured it would be ok. And it was. I was using some natural stuff (Similasan pediatric pink eye drops) that worked great till it was discontinued so to use something that smelled like bleach or irked me, but I had to do something quickly. For the sake of cleaning his eyes and getting a little disinfecting quality in there, I'd probably buy it again. But I wouldn't lean on it and only it for his eye issues.

We have a very old dog that has been struggling with goopy eyes for months. Every time we clean them, it comes right back, and her eyes were getting red and irritated. She was constantly trying to rub them, and I was cleaning them daily to no avail. We bought some spray from the groomer, but the effects would only last about a day, and we would be right back where we started. We experienced a significant amount of smoke from wildfires in our area, and I believe that was the initial cause. In just TWO DAYS of using this spray, her eyes are better. My order arrived ahead of schedule, which was really good, because I have a 14-1/2-year-old, grumpy Corgi mix with an allergic pink-eye issue going on. I have tried keeping his eye clean with dampened wipes, but more times than not I am faced with him baring his teeth at me, and it ends up being a battle of wills to clean him up. When the box arrived, it was in perfect condition, easy to open and the product easily slid out of the box. I was very happy to see it had a spray nozzle and that they recommend using three "sprays" twice a day in the affected eye. What this meant for me was tha I no longer risked losing my fingers or portions of my face as I moved in the clean him. I began by wiping his eye clean. Since he was now already agitated, I was feeling a little more empowered as I maintained a good distance, pointed the spayed nozzle toward his bad eye, and made three quick, short bursts of spray. I felt like Annie Oakley as I hit my target all three times. He didn't like it. He showed me his teeth again, and after that he would bare them at the sight of the bottle alone. No matter. I am a vigilant doggy mom and I kept at the routine. After using the product as directed, and after about three days, I first noticed a decrease in the mess around his eye. After about a week his eye looked much more clear. After 10 days he actually looked perkier and he has been holding his tail up instead of moping around like a kicked puppy. I continue to use the spray as a maintenance product with a good amount saturated onto a round cotton makeup wipe. Now that he is better he doesn't seem to mind me fussing with his eye every once in a while. And bonus! This stuff also works like a beast on hot spots on his skin!! I'm saying like next day the redness was gone and healing was happening! In the words of Mickey Dolenz, "I'm a believer!" You will be, too!

Product seems to work, but it takes up to a few wks or months for recovery. With that, I don’t have the time, especially warm compress is needed before applying product.
