Reliable 10Gb NIC with a Trusted Intel Chipset
This 10Gb PCIe network card has been excellent in terms of stability and overall build quality. The standout feature is the Intel X550-based chipset, which immediately inspires confidence. Itโs well known for reliability, strong driver support, and consistent performance, and that reputation definitely shows here. The card itself feels solid and well constructed, with a clean PCB layout and a sturdy bracket. Installation was straightforward, and the single RJ45 port is convenient since it supports multiple speeds, making it flexible for different network setups without needing special cabling. It negotiates speeds properly and maintains a stable connection under sustained load. Performance has been smooth and dependable, with no random disconnects, dropped packets, or odd behavior. The card runs efficiently and feels well optimized, especially for systems that benefit from Intelโs advanced networking features. Driver support is mature and easy to work with, which is a big advantage compared to lesser-known chipsets. Overall, this is a high-quality 10Gb NIC that delivers exactly what youโd expect from an Intel-based solution. If reliability, compatibility, and long-term stability matter to you, this card is an excellent choice.

So far so good with OpnSense
I needed a 2.5Gbs capable NIC for connecting to a Motorola MB8611. The NICs on my SuperMicro board didn't support this particular speed so this card was the solution. Opnsense apparently doesnt do so well with cheaper Realtek NICs so the Intel was my primary choice. Other than the OS reporting an uknown speed, the NIC is connecting at 2.5Gbs and I'm getting gigabit plus speeds out of the cable modem.

Good price for a prime product
This worked great, original chip, detected as an Intel chip in my computer. Works with Windows 10 which doesn't ship with drivers but will auto-install the drivers (you do need an existing internet connection, eg. gig or WiFi to download the drivers). Came with both normal and low profile brackets and a decent heatsink. Ordered two cards, one of the card's heatsinks had dislodged during shipping but was simple enough to pop back in. Heat sink did have thermal paste too which is a big plus. All-in-all a quality card for a good price.

Good quality. No issues under Linux with 2.5Gbps Ethernet.
This card works perfectly well under Linux, stock kernel drivers recognize it and everything works well, as far as I can tell. Although I have not tested 10Gbps speeds. I'm using this card as a second network adapter in a low profile Lenovo workstation, turning it into a firewall/router. My network is 2.5Gbps, and the card negotiates this speed with no issues with my switch, and I get full duplex, full speed connection through this card. The card comes with two brackets - for a full height and a small form factor computer cases. Overall, I have nothing to complain about, the card has been working just fine for a month at this point. Solid product.
