the product works for pimples but be very careful. if you have sensitive skin don't use this. I applied it only on the pimple but my whole forehead seemed like 'burned'. it isn't actually a burn, it's just getting dry red and watery marks and very itchy. it took me 6 days to recover my forehead with moisturizing and 911 healing creams.

Did not work as expected

Honestly I tried a ton of different benzoyl peroxide treatments after I finished with accutane for cystic acne I started to get small tiny minor pimples again so I tried a 2.5% benzoyl from clinique which was just alright but not great. I upped it to 5% and went for the Oxy brand and it worked a lot better but smelled awful (stinks of chemicals) so the next time I went to Walmart I decided to try the persagel and not only did it dry very quickly into a nice matte undetectable layer, it also has ZERO chemical scent to and it works. I moved to Japan and this brand isnt available over here so I bought this batch of the 10% and I find it works even better than the 5% (which wasnt available in Canada at all) ... I will never go without this product again! LOVE it and buying in bulk saves $ :D

I have struggles with acne my whole life and honestly probably will for many more years. With that being said, this product has greatly helped me with it. I’d say the past year to two years my acne has gotten worse where I would have two to three bad pimples at all times on my face. It got to the point that I felt embarrassed taking my make up off even in front of my family. I tried this and it initially dried my face out so bad that I thought what did I get myself into! But I probably gave it about a week and let the oils on my face get use to it. I’ve notice i’m not getting as frequent pimples, the pimples that I do get are not as aggressive and heal faster, and my redness from last pimples has also gotten much better. I’ve been using it twice a day and if my face is feeling or looking extra dry i’ll back off for a day or two. This product has helped my immensely and it very affordable!

At 57 you'd think I'd be done w/ zits but nooooooo. When other women my age are using oils and lotions and creams trying to avoid wrinkles, I'm still trying to dry out the zits. A layer of persa-gel twice a day, morning and evening after washing w/ Clinique mild facial soap bar, is the ONLY thing that keeps my skin clear. They had better not discontinue this stuff..it's a life saver. I cannot be w/out it. It's strong but my skin tolerates BP very well so I have clear glowing skin when I use this. It does dry as white hazy stuff if you don't rub it in well so I always have to check my face in mirror in the car before getting out but it's a simple touch up to rub that away.

I've tried every diet and acne treatment short of going to a dermatologist, and benzoyl peroxide (the active ingredient in this) is the only thing that works for me. The key is to apply it every 12 hours after washing your face, 365 days per year. After applying it, don't forget to moisturize -- it will dry your skin out like nothing else. It may not be natural, but at least it's non-toxic.
