What is the width of the finger pull? Someone else noted 2 1/4 inches wide. Is that correct??

Oh no not wide unless your talking the length. The width of the pull bar is maybe the width of a hotdog. Hope that helps.

I bought this handle and one bolt goes in crooked 3/16 and that's all. What do I do?

I did not have that issue with any of the three I installed! One did appear to have a burr or something that slowed the tightening! I just made sure I was going in straight, backed it out and started slowly tightening the bolt! It did go in and tighten snuggly! The Allen wrench has to be square in the key, or you won’t be able to get sufficient torque to tighten and the is a chance you could round out the key, or tool! Good luck!

How can you open the door from the inside when it gets covered by the wall?

You close the door all the way. Then mark your holes where the handle goes leaving enough room so it doesn’t block either handle
