Excellent quality spoon. Much sturdier than I thought it was going to be when I saw the pictures. Am using it constantly in the kitchen along with the other wooden spoons I bought on Amazon. Great quality for the price! No complaints. Update 3-7-2011: Well this spoon has traveled its way through lots of spaghetti sauce, soups, noodles, casseroles and so much more, while enduring countless washings in soap and water. All I can say is that after four years, I don't think this spoon is ever going to wear out! I keep it in a stainless steal canister on my kitchen counter top along with the wooden hammer and other wooden utensils I bought like this one and for over four years, I sure have gotten value for my money. This spoon should be wearing a cape and cowl given how well it has stood up to such a grueling four year trial in my kitchen! Update 1-9-2014: Like my friend the wooden hammer, this spoon is still with me after a lot of uses some 7 years later. Still a great value for the money and in good shape. Have a great new year! Update 8-1-2015: Well it's about another year and 8 months and this spoon continues to hold up well after a lot of use. Just taking a moment to let you know how well it is holding up. The wood has not chipped or splintered over a lot of use too. Still using it in my sauce pan for casserole's and making sauces. The wood this was made from really holds up well!

Bought this for my mom who has carpal tunnel and metal plates in her wrist from breaking it. She cant hold on to the normal wooden or even plastic slotted spoons very well. She LOVES this spoon, the handle is thicker and wider than normal and it's good sturdy spoon definitely not cheaply made. I infact ordered her all new spoons and spatulas from here because of the bigger handle and they're all great. Wonderful brand, good solid spoon, didn't swell or warp in the dishwasher. 11/10 would definitely recommend!
