Because of that, I went in with fairly modest expectations and ended up being more than pleasantly surprised. According to the brand, Aqualun is meant to evoke the golden essence of a sunlit summer by the ocean, blending radiant vibrancy, uplifting energy, and a sense of coastal serenity. The note breakdown includes bright lemon, black currant, and aquatic accords in the opening, followed by water lily, lily of the valley, jasmine, violet, and rose, resting on a base of musk, vetiver, sandalwood, and vanilla. The first time I tested it, I sprayed it on my upper left bicep—a spot I often use when evaluating new fragrances while wearing something else. I like seeing how a fragrance develops on skin before committing to a full wear. About eight and a half hours later, after dinner with my wife and a late stop at Burlington, I caught a scent trail and thought, "Wow, that smells great." For a moment, I couldn't even remember what it was. Then it hit me—it was Aqualun. What impressed me most is how well balanced it is. Despite the floral notes, it never becomes overly floral. Despite the vanilla in the base, it never turns gourmand or excessively sweet. Instead, it remains bright, clean, fresh, and vibrant from start to finish. Some people might see the blue bottle and assume it's trying to imitate one of the many popular "blue" fragrances on the market. I don't think that's the case. While there are familiar nuances that make it approachable, it genuinely feels like its own fragrance rather than a copy of something else. The presentation is solid. The cap snaps securely into place, the atomizer delivers an excellent spray, and overall the bottle feels well put together for the price point. Performance on my skin was very good. It's never overwhelmingly loud, but people will notice it. More importantly, they'll think you smell good. The scent works both up close and in the air, and it maintains a quality feel throughout its wear. What I appreciate most is that it manages to be fresh, versatile, and easy to wear while still maintaining its own identity. That's harder to accomplish than many people realize. Plenty of fragrances smell good. Plenty perform well. Plenty are crowd-pleasing. It's much harder to create something that checks all of those boxes without immediately reminding people of something else. As someone with a collection of well over 500 full bottles, along with countless decants and samples, I've smelled a lot of fragrances. Aqualun doesn't reinvent the wheel, nor is it trying to be challenging, artistic, or polarizing. What it does is execute its concept exceptionally well. I don't hand out five-star ratings easily. To me, five stars should mean a product excels at what it's trying to do while offering outstanding value. Between the scent quality, performance, presentation, originality within its genre, and price point, Aqualun earns that rating. If you're looking for a bright, clean, versatile fragrance that performs well and stands on its own without chasing trends or copying something else, this is absolutely worth trying.

Aqualun Liberty smells great after a short mellowing period. Out of the bottle it is astringent and smells of rubbing alcohol but that immediately dissipates and opens to a nice blend of cedar, lemon, and mild tobacco middle note that is more like a dusty tobacco cigar box than sweet and smooth tobacco leaf. There doesn't seem to be much more depth to Aqualun Liberty beyond than which I noted. (Lemon top / Tobacco mid / Dusty Cedar base) The performance leaves much to be desired. Silage if minimal. If you share a bus seat with someone they may notice your scent. Longevity is lacking. With a liberal slathering will get you about 2 hours of trace aroma. The lemony scent will last a quarter of that time and your left with dusty cedar the rest. It comes in a clean looking giftable box and bottle; but there are better performing fragrances out there if you are going to gift a parfum. At 3.4 ounces, you do get a lot of it for a little money. I think the best use for this is giving it to a pre-teen/teen who won't offend others or your budget when they decide to bathe in it.

Driven by those lighter citrus elements, black currant, and soft lily notes, it is best suited for warmer weather, but the performance is quite lacking. Projection and longevity struggle, fading off the skin in around 3 hours despite claims of all-day wear. At its current price point, the overall value just cannot justify the lack of quality. There are plenty of better alternative fresh fragrances out there that perform better and smell way more refined than this.

I was pleasantly surprised by the smell - considering the price of only ~$30, I was thinking this was going to be too overpowering and have the smell of aftershave, but that wasn't the case at all. It's actually a pleasant mid-range smelling cologne. To me, it smells better when first sprayed, but as the scent resides, the smell has somewhat of an artificial aroma to it. The fragrance does last quite a while when sprayed on clothes. It's good for everyday use, and not much is needed to produce a lasting smell throughout the day. This wouldn't be my go to cologne for special occasions, but as a lower end more expendable cologne that I can use liberally, this is good purchase. The bottle has a very professional high end look to it and the supply is generous for the price.

I got this for my husband, am I happy I did, this smells fresh, light, Masculine and lasts for hours! The reason it has longevity is because it has a higher concentration of oil in it, description notes 15 - 20%, we all know the higher the oil the longer staying power it has, this is a parfum not toilette. This is not an overpowering scent profile to me or my husband. This has a citrus and sweet blend but remained Masculine, some of the notes I did look up to share are lemony citrus, black currant, and a lily floral; again don't let that steer you away, it isn't a female scent. The value is definitely with this, the price point and longevity are worth it. I've smelled similar fragrances that are higher end price points without the staying power of this one. This would make a great gift! I recommend giving this a go!

The bottle looks nice, and the packaging arrived in good shape. But the scent itself just doesn’t work for me because it smells off in a way that’s hard to ignore. The lemon and lily notes are there, but something underneath them reads more unpleasant than fresh, more like a woodshop, but not in a good way, if you know what that smells like. I wanted to like it, but I couldn’t get past the smell. Fragrance, however, is personal, so your experience may vary, but I wouldn’t buy this one again. I would stick with the counter at Macy’s.

Best perfume for everyday use with long lasting fragrance and a soothing essence of the luxurious aroma it provides all day while wearing it. Must buy for formal and casual use.
