I bought an old LG CD/DVD player for my studio/craft room at a thrift shop. It is tiny, and it was 2.50. 💥 My universal remote said “no can do.” 🤬 I had to buy this ten-dollar LG remote for it, but it worked perfectly right away, and now I can watch old movies in that room if I want.
