Works great with my little TrueNas setup!
Fit my case perfectly with easy enough cable access and sturdy feel. Running 4x 4TB drives with this using ZFS and it's worked like a charm! No issues recognizing drives or reading/writing data. Cables can be routed through the back of your case with the SATA connections being toward the rear of the case, so **REMEMBER TO PLUG IN SATA CABLES BEFORE INSTALLING** if you want to save yourself some tricky angling trying to plug them in after the cage is installed.

Really impressed!
Fit like a glove in a Chenbro RM42300 4U server chassis. Other review complaints about the plastic drive trays are way off base. The trays are well made and (to me) they seem better that some of the comparable "enterprise grade" trays I've used from Tyan and Supermicro. If you're swapping drives often enough to break or wear these out, you need to get better drives or invest in an external eSATA drive dock. The other common complaints - molex power connectors and connector location - are really only relevant if you're putting this in a desktop. In a server chassis, connector placement is perfect. And the clunky old molex connectors are more mechanically secure than SATA power connectors. Overall, I think the quality is fantastic for the price. This has to be one of the best values in server components I've seen in a long time. I prefer the trays over trayless designs and the fact that they're designed to accommodate both 3.5" and 2.5" drives without an adapter shows good attention to design. Cooling is the other area where this unit excels. There is good provision for airflow (within the size constraints) and the 120mm fan runs at a sane (moderate) RPM for nice quiet operation while still moving plenty of air. I can definitely say these drive cages are going to become a standard feature in all my server builds.

Great for 3U server rack cases!
Everything I could have asked for in a hard drive enclosure. The fact it came with 4 SATA cables was icing on the cake. Can't complain about the build quality, feels solid. I put it into a 3U case and it fit perfectly in the (3) 5.25" bays.

This product is great. Functions as it should
This product is great. Functions as it should. No faults so far. The 4 trays accommodate standard 3.5 drives as they should, features holes in the sides of the trays to install screws into the drives. I even ordered and installed a Sabrent 2.5" SSD & SATA Hard Drive to Desktop 3.5 adapter for my SanDisk 128gb SSD so I can use it in this hot swap cage. The Sabrent adapter is the cheapest and best solution for using an 2.5 drive in this cage, I recommend it. Though nothing wrong with the product itself. There were some challenges. One challenge I had with this cage is it uses 2 molex connectors to power the drives. With my pc using three fans, an rgb light strip and a power indicator light that all use molex connectors this cage included really taped out all three of my molex plugs on the one lead out of my PSU. Now I have two sata power leads with a total of six available sata power connectors doing nothing. I would prefer that a cage like this to use sata for drive power, most drive cages seem to. The other challenge being how close the cooling fan for the cage is to my motherboard's powerconnector, it's actually touching it. I had to cut the snap off the plug that locks it to the socket for clearance. This cage isn't really compatible with my case and motherboard due to dimensional issues like that. I had to modify and finesse a few things to really shoehorn it in. This really isn't the fault of the cage's design, but housing four 3.5 drives with a full 120mm cooling fan can and will present issues with certain cases and motherboards. Still, overall great price and functionality.

Consumer grade only! Will not fit in professional hardware
For a PC case you buy on a consumer level it will probably fit. No offense to any cases/case manufactures but they add extra tolerances for cheap hardware like this. It does not meet the requirements for a 5.25" bay though. I've tried this in multiple high end workstations/servers now (poweredge/HP workstations/ect) and it will not fit in any of them. The metal cage itself is fine and does fit. The plastic extrusion on the front and the back absolutely will not. Where the plastic is attached to the metal with screws the plastic sticks out past the cage. The faceplate is just blatantly not even with the sides or close to the right size. If you can force it in past the back plate the front plate will never fit flush because it is not the correct size. The front is the correct size but it expands out to the point it's not able to fit. You might be able to get away with leaving it sticking out but the screws won't line up. If you're willing to put a little muscle into it (and have a case cheap enough to bend) you can get it flush. It's a real shame because it works just fine. It's just the cheap plastic they engineered wrong and couldn't spend a penny to fix that makes it garbage.

Really not bad, But not great
It's an alright cage. I have a Rosewill RSV-R4000 Case that came with 2 of these installed, So might as well replace the 3x 5.25 drive slots with another of the same model. LIke mentioned already, A bit difficult to get the drives in the caddy without popping off the rubber boots. I have not had issues with the drives coming out of the cage. But it is mounted in a rack so it does not move. The fan on the front moves a good amount of air with a low RPM to keep the noise down. Its a simple 2 wire fan so no speed control. With 3 of these fans on the front. I find it important to keep the front of my case shut as it contains the filter to keep just out. All in all, Its a decent cage for a low price for long term installs. This is the final piece of my unraid server so I can add my last 4 drives to my current array.

Works like a charm, not too noisy, easy install, I don't know how to use them, so I just pilled two of them one over the other. Still bomb!

I finally got tired of my 13 year old CoolerMaster Stacker's piss poor drive cage design, where I always have to spend half an hour to dismantle the whole sides and unplug the fans & cables from all the drives just to swap one out. Great case overall but the drive cage design was crappy. This Rosewill cage was actually put together pretty well, I chose this over other tool-less ones because this one can actually accept 2.5" SSD's without any adapters, as the trays have holes for 2.5" SSD/HDD. Another reaason was that this has a 120mm fan, most others have smaller, noisy fans. But I removed the included fan anyway, and reinstalled my 120mm ball bearing PWM fan which I connect to the motherboard to control its speed. I don't know how loud or quiet the Rosewill fan would have been, but I didnt want to experiment. The trays are plastic but if you aren't going to swap drives daily I think they will last if you're not rough with them. All in all, it works great, except I don't know why the drive 2 LED flashes continuously. Not sure why, nothing is being accessed on it.

Ideal cage for keeping extra hard drives together and operational. Well built.
