I was contemplating between this model and the laser version. Went with this since it a cheaper and stock was available. It didn’t disappoint me in terms of lumens. I can still watch is a room in the day with my blinds pulled down, picture is colourful and bright. But I also realise that sharpness depends on the source. YouTube videos and photos from phone are not as sharp as I hope to be. Feels like fake 1080 resolution. But video streamed from Netflix and Disney+ are perfect. I use a google chrome cast dongle to watch these. Audio as most say is not amazing but it is enough for me. For people who likes the bass, yes you need to connect to a better speaker system or BT headset. But thankfully projector is so quiet, its own speaker is sufficient for me.

Super fast and easy to setup. I was expecting okay, but i was pleasantly surprised. Picture quality is good even in a moderately lit room. The remote control with the pointer makes it so easy to navigate quickly. The only negative I would say is the WebOS LG content store is lacking compared to what you get on Samsung or Google TV. In Canada, Disney+ was not available in the WebOS LG content store.

I've used projectors for over 20 years and LOVE them. In the house I'm in now, I have a narrow room and not much room for throwing an image on the screen. A short throw was my only option. This projector fit the bill... it's got a great picture, super short throw distance, and some good smart options. On the downside, it's a LITTLE outdated on the smart tv options, and it does require a darker room than normal. Reminds me of the early generation projectors when it comes to how dark the room needs to be. Negatives - Requires a darker room - Slightly outdated software that LG doesn't update anymore Positives - Super short throw distance for a big screen - Great picture - Solid built in speaker - Easy setup - Built in smart features are a nice bonus - Remote is super cool with the "magic" function I don't have much experience with short throw projectors but I do love this one... just wish it was a TOUCH brighter in light situations.

If you buy this, beware that the wow factor is real. Seeing a football game projected onto the width of your entire wall is awe-inspiring and will impress everyone who comes over to your house. I bought this projector because I hate the look of a big black slap in my living room when the TV is not on and also am trying to reduce the risk of a TV tipping over on my one-year-old. First the good: Yes, this thing is huge and the footprint is tiny. It looks smaller than my cable box and the white color would do nicely mounted on a wall. The picture has different modes: sports, cinema, etcetera, and the Wii-like remote is awesome and well-done. In short, I really, really wish this had done the job for me, but there were some major reasons why I had to return it. The bad: The most glaring weakness here is the light. My living room has big windows with an Eastern exposure. Watching TV in the daytime was almost impossible. An NFL game on sport mode was doable, but for some reason Netflix and Hulu shows were really dark and very washed out. Even at night, we couldn't have the overhead lights on more than 25% or the shows and movies would feel very washed out. Moreover, with shows on Netflix or Hulu, the motion seemed strange. It felt like it was both slow and fast at the same time. It almost felt like when they adjusted those widescreen movies for a 4:3 TV and the camera had to pan across the picture during key moments. It's not something I can detect on a regular TV screen. The alternative was to paint the entire room in bright white projector paint or erect a cinema screen, but both of those options would just dramatically change the look of the room and neither gained much traction with my wife. To be honest, I was kind of heart-broken to send this back as I really wanted it to work out. Still, $1,200 will buy you a phenomenal traditional TV and that's what's going to work better for me and my setup.

Got this for mural painting. Skip it. It’s impossible for this projector to project the image on the wall and hit the bottom… no matter what, you’ll never be able to project the full image on the entire wall because of how it’s built. I tried to tilt it, tweak the edges… couldn’t do it. I tried to use it on site, nope. It was awful and hard to use. And they refuse to let me return in!!!!
