I purchased this unit for my daughters science fair project about wind power. I purchased 4 different generators, all different, with this unit being the best. I wish a small instruction sheet was included in the box, but after coming back to this page, I found it simple to get it set up. My 9yo can get this set up quite easy on her own. As per her experiment, this unit will power on a deep breath, a gusty of wind outside, and stay powered with constant wind from a fan or hairdryer. All 3 of the LED lights included really light up, nice and bright. This unit has some serious power! Since we have assembled this over and over again, the wires from the generator have become a bit warped. I love that the wires are nice and long because they give you enough room to strip them down and reveal fresh wires. Even the LED's are super sturdy and even with a 9yo playing with them constantly, they dont snap or break. This is also a very safe experiment (in my opinion). There really isn't a way to get shocked and even with the wheel going full speed, it won't hurt a finger if it gets in the way. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. My daughter had a great time putting it together and playing with it, and she really learned quite a bit. 10/10 reccomend!

It worked very well for my son's science project. you can mount on bicycle and see the LED glows up as you pick the speed. Be careful with blades plastic is not too strong

After I received it, I assembled it in under 2 minutes. Then the LED came on whenever I used an electric fan or a hair dryer to blow a wind towards it. I measured the voltage produced by this generator: 2V for low-speed wind, 4-6V for high-speed wind. This suggests it has a high-quality electric motor/generator. WOW!

Connected the X and Y to Black and Red to the fan and then connected X and Y to black and red on my solar panel and the fan started! It even had variable speeds from the amount of energy my panel was producing. I bought this for a certain biology class so if you are in need of an easy install fan then get this, seriously...
