Cheap fix and seems to work!
My washer sounded like a jet was taking off when it was running the spin cycle. We've had this washer/dryer set for 15 years. After researching quite a few YouTube videos I determined it was the bearings. The reviews on this set aren't great but I decided it was cheap enough to risk it. The inner bearing and seal fit perfectly. The outer bearing seemed like it was a little small. I'm a millwright by trade so I have the tools and the ability to mic the ID and OD but it was a close enough fit that I wasn't worried it world come apart. I did have to peen the sides of the outer aluminum piece on the drum to keep it in place. I also opened the window on one of the bearings and I can tell you that there isn't much grease inside. I decided to not add any in case that was intentional. I didn't want to compromise it by adding grease and having it fall prematurely. It's been running clothes for 4 humans for approximately a month now and we haven't had any issues. The rubber "O" ring fit just fine. I went around 2-3 times making sure it wasn't pinched or standing up. 5 stars so far!

Don't get just the bearing or seal
Mine was noisy, so I assumed it was just the bearing, but I bought this kit to do it all while I was in there. Glad I did. The seal had failed just enough to corrode stuff. Also, the tub didn't leak, but when I split it open, the gasket shrunk and split. After disassembly, I also found the tub support (Spider) was garbage because the seal surface was completely corroded.

Rear bearing already broken in just 6 months
It doesn't deserve one star, it should not be allowed to sell. Installed about 6 months ago and already broke the front bearing. The rear bearing wasn't holding as well - broken with first light knock while disassembling. STAY AWAY AND DO NOT BUY.

Preparation is key
I’ve had these bearings installed for just short of a month and they have performed exceptionally! My LG washer is a bit over 10 years old and the original bearings and seal had never been replaced. The inner drum had quite a bit of free play and sounded like a fighter jet anytime the machine would do a spin cycle. Upon taking everything apart, I did find that the bearings were terribly damaged because the original seal had failed and let water into them. The spider assembly also had some marring, so I knew that I would need to do this job again with a new spider at some point. Given this information, I opened these new bearings and packed them with automotive heavy duty grease. From the factory these bearings don’t have much grease in them, so I would recommend doing this regardless. Additionally, I put the new bearings in my freezer while I finished preparing the drum for installation. Putting them in the freezer helped them fit right in with minimal mechanical persuasion. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and will update should the bearings fail. So far after a month, everything has been great!

Just like new!
My LG washing machine sounded like a freight train. Ordered this kit and took my time to install it correctly. My washer works and sounds like new now! Few tips, when you get the bearings, put them in the freezer. They will shrink slightly and be easier to install. When installing the bearings put a little oil on the outside of them to help with driving them in. Keep your olod bearings, clean them off good and use them to drive the new bearings in. Also put a little axle grease on the shaft and on top of the inner bearing to help keep it from seizing up and rusting. It also helps with installation of the drum. Put a little grease on the splines as well. And don't forget to put some fresh blue locktite on the stater bolt on the back of the motor. Also put a little vasiline on the drum gasket before you install it, it will keep it from fry rotting. Chang the drum bearings before it quits working. If it starts making noise it time to replace them. The longer you wait the more seized they get. If you are a diy type person then this won't be to bad. But you do have to dismantle the whole machine. There are some good videos on YouTube.

I recently rebuilt my ~2009 LG washing machine. It began to make some horrible noise while spinning. Unfortunately I could not find a repairmen who would help. Everyone I spoke to said they wont touch either LG or Samsung washers or dryers due to thier poor quality. Knowing that the bearings needed replacement, I ordered these parts and began to dissassemble the washing machine. Additionally, I ended up having to purchase a new spider to replace a corroded spider on the back of the drum as well as new shocks and a multi valve. Basically this was a full rebuild. the whole repair efectively took around 10hrs of work but was able to assemble it. Once I got everything together, it ran smoothly like new. When I asked a appliance parts store whether the bearing were good quality, their reponse was that they are probable better than the ones that LG originally used. All in, I spent around $600 CAD and probably avoided paying between $1600-$1800 CAD for a new unit. I understand the repair peoples lack of interest of working on the machine. If you include parts and labour, it better to buy a new unit but if you do it yourself, it makes sense. The washinig machine is running great since the repair around 5 months ago. So far I recommend this bearing/seal kit.

Bearings and seals fit perfectly and no leaks yet, hopefully last for a long time.

The bearing quality in this kit is not very good. The seal and rubber gasket were ok, but the large bearing was already sloppy right out of the box. I bought a higher-quality Koyo 6306RSC3(Japan) one from our local auto parts store, which was significantly better.

Bearings and rear seal fit great. The large o-ring / gasket for the tub seam was too large for our washer, despite being the correct part number according to searspartsdirect.com. We re-used the old gasket which was not leaking before replacing the bearings, but leaked after replacing them. So we'll have to do our best with the old seal and some silicone to reinforce it.
