Untucked tops cover the waistline where the skirt fits close, but the 2X tops I wear cover that part!, I did put a bit of a strain on the seam stretching this skirt when I put it on over my head, but that's because I chose to get the XL which I am still glad I did. This skirt is great! It's super soft and lightweight, with just the right amount of stretch. The foldover waistband provides comfort and customization for how high/how long you want the skirt to be. The fabric IS quite thin, so if you get a lighter color, like I did in the mint green shade, you'll want to be sure to choose your undergarments appropriately (both skin-toned and seamless, as seams will be evident under this fabric). At 5'4", the length of this skirt is also a little bit long on me in flats, but I've come to expect this from most maxi-length items. With a pair of wedges, it's perfect, and I can get by in flip flops if I lift the skirt when walking up stairs and such.
