Chicken food ball
First let me say my chickens love it but I think it is cheaply made. It won’t last 6 months. But for now it will keep them entertained. Which was my goal.

Arrived broken!
Good Idea, bad quality. I was so excited when it arrived to get my chickens a new treat toy however it arrived with the wire coming apart, a welding issue?, so I could not use it for fear of the loose wire poking them. Will return and try another one I guess.

I just laid it on ground and they chased it. They got exercise plus nutrition . A win win

It broke after a little over a month of use
The chickens loved this ball however after about 5 weeks of use the wire around the 1/2 circle broke. The ball will not stay together anymore. But when it works it's amazing.

Idea works well, ball broke within one short use.
The idea works great for chickens... fill it up and they love it and it keeps them busy; in that regard, the idea receives 5 stars from me. However, this item is not very sturdy. One of the welds broke the first time I used it as there is a moderate amount of tension that must be applied in order to clip the halves of the wire mesh ball together. This is a quality and design issue that the manufacturer needs to fix asap. Only one star from me in regards to sturdiness.My item still works, it's just broken right of the start.

the construction was thin wiring but the actual problem is the clamps that held the lettuce in wouldn't stay clamped. so there was never any "hanging ball of cabbage or lettuce " for bored chicken entertainment

Arrived broken
Arrived broken. Can't be too sturdy if it doesn't arrive in one piece. Can't imagine how it would hold up to a flock of chickens. Had to return it right away

Better than the 3" balls
It's big enough to hold a head of cabbage (about 6") and keeps the greens from being too dirty. The hens get really excited and it allows all 10 to get a piece and come back to get more. Will also hold a square of wheatgrass from Natural grocers which I hang upside down in ball. The wire welding is not stellar but so far only 1 wire is loose (used about 9 months) and I have learned to take some care opening and closing it. It can pinch when re closing the ball. I wish it had a clamp on one of 4 closure points. Much better than the 3 inch or so ball you find in pet stores. I would buy it again.
