Ravi's Roar (Big Bright Feelings) Review: Wonderful Book for Teaching Kids About Emotions and Feelings - This book has been such a great tool for helping my son understand feelings and emotions in a way that makes sense to him. The language is clear, age-appropriate, and the illustrations really keep him engaged. He’s only five, but he’s already using the words from the book to describe how he feels, which is huge. I love that it opens up natural conversations about things like frustration, sadness, excitement, and more. It’s perfect for bedtime reading or quiet time, and I’ve even recommended it to a few teachers and fellow parents. If you’re looking for a helpful, child-friendly emotions book that supports social-emotional learning, this one is 100% worth it. It’s become a regular part of our routine. Review: A definite must for the classroom! - Working in a special ed classroom, my students have many emotions. They connected with this book! It really reached them and made a huge difference in their behavior and interactions -a definite need for the classroom!

Great book for big feelings
My toddlers love this book. It’s a really good book to depict how they’re feeling when they’re upset. It has bold colors, it’s silly, it’s emotional, and it has a good way of bringing it all together. I would definitely recommend for those littles who are struggling with their big emotions.

Perfectly executed!
Ravi, youngest and by extension, the smallest member of his family, is getting frustrated. He's too short to reach stuff, he's losing races and he doesn't know how to cope with his emotions. Finally, Ravi allows the rage to consume him and turns into a tiger! Ravi's Roar is a wonderful use of zoomorphism and can show kids, in a fun way, the effects of allowing one's rage to go wild. I love the diversity in all Percival's books. I also love the themes, this one being rage- quite apt as my son has officially entered the "terrible twos"....Hello tantrums *cringe* As with Perfectly Norman, the use of colour and fonts perfectly portray the sentiment of the story!

Love. It.
Love love love this book. Perfect for my daughter. She understood and even on her next fit said “ no I don’t want to be tiger like Ravi” so cute and easy to understand. Love that even though he “got what he wanted” he wasn’t happy or fulfilled.

Very cute!
My 5 yo loved this book. He clapped when I finished reading! It’s a cute story about a boy turning into a tiger when mad. Not an obvious “lesson” book.

I bought this thinking it would be a good way to explain to my child about angry feelings, and resolving them. Actually it shows Ravi having an absolute blast being rude and shouty for about 4 pages and then 1 page of remorse.

This is one of the best books for kids who start shouting, hitting and becoming angry. We use the example of Ravi regularly with our son. Amazing book for toddlers.
