Mobil 55221 3309 Automatic Transmission Fluid - 1 Quart

Bought this for my 2010 Grand Vitara AT since this was one of the few brands and grades by Suzuki. So far so good.

If you have an Aisin-Warner transmission in your P2 ('01-'07ish) Volvo that calls for JWS3309 transmission fluid, this is the stuff. I have learned my lesson the hard way over many years of owning these cars now—they want this original, mineral oil based formulation of the JWS3309 spec. They don't want a universal synthetic, or some improved premium brand formulation. They want actual 3309 fluid as it was designed on day one. Volvo fluid, Aisin IV fluid, Toyota Type IV fluid, Idemitsu Type TLS (NOT TLS-LV), or Mobil 3309, all of which are the original batch of 3309 fluids. No, they're not fancy, they're not "premium," they're not synthetic, whatever. They work and they will not gradually lead your transmission into disrepair, as the others seem to. The others will appear to work at first, maybe even work better—but you will slide more quickly (tens of thousands rather than hundreds of thousands of miles) into hard shifts, sticking valves, and ultimately transmission failure. Just stick to bog standard 3309.

Hello! I have a 05’ Volvo s40 and I will say I was skeptical on this purchase. I read reviews and had hope it would do good for my car and thank you all for your reviews because it did!! My car runs so smoothe and has not caused any issue at all. No weird sounds or stalking in excelleration that was the reason I did a transmission flush. This fluid and a flush and my car was back to normal. Get it now for all European and German cars I am sure your car will thank you later.

High quality fluid, great for high use transmissions. Highly recommend when specific brand is called for in refilling ore replacing transmission. Runny very smooth!
