Kelly Hoppen Style: The Golden Rules of Design

Love the color and the fact it's a hardback. The pages seem so real as if I could touch the interiors. As a Interior decorator this is a great table book for me but I love viewing the pages. Great book!

ベーシックカラーとモダンな家具で揃えたけれど、無機質であか抜けない…ってこと、よくありますよね？ それは恐らく、質感を揃えていないからなのです。 各部屋のスケールやバランスのとり方、照明や収納についてのルールもありますが、 私が特に気に入ったのは、色と質感についての約15ページにわたる部分です。 日本では「ベージュ」「白」と一言で括られてしまいがちな色を、Taupe、Sand、オフホワイト、クリーム、ピュアホワイト、としっかり分けてたくさんの素材が写真で載っており、それぞれに合うもの、合わないものが具体的に書いてあります。 例えば、サンドに合うものには ・Rich-colored woods of white ・Yellowy natural linens ・Metals such as bronze or verdigris... 合わないものには ･Metals like steel and aluminium ･Stones that contain blue such as scala blue limestone ･Too much black... といったように、床材、ファブリック、家具などを選ぶ際に明確な相性まで載っているので、インテリアを作り上げていく上でとても参考になります。 私の印象では、映画「ホリディ」のアマンダ（キャメロンディアス）の家のインテリア、という感じです。 モダンでありながらダイナミック、ガラス、シルバー、そして自然素材を使ったベーシックカラーの大人インテリア本、とても素敵です。

I have looked at this book so many times- some times to just give me an idea and some times to make sure I am not making a costly mistake.[ I do some times forget the size of my rooms]. Kelly gives good advise on just designing for you and not following her. pictures are nice a good coffee table book

Styles evolve but Good taste is timeless!

Really pleased with this book. So happy to find it packaged well in a thick plastic bag to protect the corners on delivery. I will definitely buy again from this seller in the future.
