Great product!
I really liked this brand! I’ve been using Hennasooq for several years and really like their products a lot but needed to find a less expensive alternative. I tried Minature once a year or so ago and I don’t know what happened because they have good reviews but it just seemed to fry my hair so I’m afraid to try them again. This MB herbals worked perfectly with henna (if you have any gray hair you must do henna first, followed by indigo and however much of premixed and pre dye released henna, mixed in with it to cover the gray). I used this indigo as a two part process and my hair came out colored beautifully with softness and shine. I switched over to this brand. In my henna mix I always use aloe powder, Amal powder (to keep curls and to get more golden browns as opposed to reds) and some melted Shea butter as well as apple cider vinegar. But in the indigo you can only use salt (I use 2 tbsp) which helps the color stick to your hair. If you use anything else in the indigo, or try to use it without henna, it will not work and may even turn your hair green as it is not meant to use alone. After your henna and indigo have dye released separately, then you can mix henna and indigo together. This product worked great, is a very fine powder and mixes well. My hair turned out exactly how I expected, an off black with golden undertones and super shiny and soft! (My natural color is a medium to light brown with lots of reddish golden highlights). If you do a two part process just don’t be too shocked to your grays turn bright orange at first! After you’ve completed the two processes of henna and indigo it takes a couple of days for the color to “settle” in. Also the reason I use aloe, Shea butter and apple cider vinegar is because of the way henna gets into the hair shaft and can be drying for the first week or so, for certain types of hair (like mine since I perm it) but it is so good for your hair and does not dry at all when adding those products. In fact, I’ve permed for almost 40 years so I kinda got used to frizzy, dull, brittle hair. But since using henna and indigo my hair is soft and shiny with the exception of the ends that are still growing out because I refuse to chop it all off at once. Hopefully what I’ve learned helps anyone else trying to learn the process of using henna and indigo and / or deciding whether or not to try this brand.

Good product
This is my second order of Indigo powder, the reason I bought from this seller because of their refund promise and reasonable price. I used up the first bag within a month, because I was experimenting with different formulas to achieve the color I like. I had never used Indigo or Henna powder to color my hair. My original hair color is Asian black with more than 50% of grey that is not mixed in well, in other words I have lines of gray roots. Although I colored 3 times in the first month, my hair looks healthier. And, for the first time in my life I have not seen fallen hair on the floors. The not so fun experience is the result can be surprising, the color becomes lighter after my first shampoo. And for a few days, I would see blue color on the wipes that I used to clean my face and neck, often on my nails too. But, I am glad that I found these natural products, I feel safe using them.

Very grainy
Unlike the henna powder from this brand, the indigo application was a disaster. Not sure if I got a bad batch twice but it was not fun to apply. I gave up mid application. It was very clumpy and grainy and was heck to rinse out. If I didn't know better I would never indigo my hair again based on this experience. I've used indigo many many times so I know how to mix, definitely this brand needs to work on making the powder a looooot smoother. I bought one prior and just thought it was a bad batch but the second one is definitely proof that it's just a bad product. Update: It’s crazy my hair is shedding all these small black particles. I mean a lot like black snow falling from my hair. Will do a co wash 6.1 maybe this will get rid of I’m assuming tiny pieces of wood/bark something!!

Difficult to Wash Out
I’ve bought and used MB Henna and it worked well. I tried the Indigo from this brand, but I’m disappointed that it was so difficult to wash out. Co-washing twice after rinsing was not enough to remove the grains, tiny stems etc., and because of this, I don’t t believe I’ll use this again. It’s unfortunate because I love the MB brand of henna, but not the indigo. Ayurvedic herbs need to be finely sifted to make it easier to wash or remove from hair. As far as the color stain, it seems dark after rinsing and may possibly have covered my grays with indigo/henna mix but it’s going to take a few more days to see final result.

My favorite brand of indigo powder
After I've prepared and let my henna sit and develop for a few hours, I mix my indigo and let it set for 15 mins before mixing the two together. Since I usually go for a dark brown/black, I have to prepare this 3/4 to 4/4 more than the henna mixture. This brand has become one of my favorites and gives me a long lasting and bolder end result. It's very easy to mix with less clumping than many other brands I've tried over the past year. The value is also great.
