Do you need to buy the motor set also, or just the car?

My 8 year old son is super advanced on legos. Wondering if he would be able to assemble it himself. THoughts?

Hi there. We recommend this set for LEGO® builders aged 16 and up. Our recommendations are, of course, only guidelines. Your son might be able to assemble this if he is very experienced, patient and not easily frustrated. You could judge it by seeing whether he has already built any other LEGO sets with a similar age recommendation. We do also offer some smaller LEGO Technic sets if you want to present him with an easier challenge at first. Have a look at the Porsche 911 RSR, for example. Happy building! Is this set, factory sealed when it arrives?

Yes it is. The box with the picture of the set comes inside another box that is from lego which is put in an Amazon box.

Missing parts in bag 1. Is there anywhere that i can buy from?

If you don't want to use the Lego website, try a website called ToyPro. If I have a set with missing and/or broken pieces, that's where I go.

One of the most iconic Lego sets ever

This set is older (2016) and was the first 1:8 scale fully licensed Technic car set. So considering that, the design of the set is pretty amazing (the latest is the Mclaren P1 which has learned from the years of experience in the meantime). The set came in its original 2016 box with the label saying do not put this on a shelf before June 2016, and the seller put that box inside another much bigger box with all kinds of foam protection around it. He really cares about the set and its heritage. Leon from Brick Heaven was responsive in helping me track the delayed DHL delivery. This set and this car are iconic - a true collector's item. They are getting increasingly hard to find brand new unopened, and even though it is more than double the price of the P1, it's worth if it you love Lego Technic cars and even more so if you love the Porsche 911.

Best Lego Car Set

I'm going to surprise my nephew with this professional Porsche set. He loves anything Lego and I think this will top his list big time. It's rated 16+ so it will offer him a bit of a challenge but that's a good thing instead of easy and boring. Many pieces so it will take some time to build. Sure its expensive and you're paying for the brand name, but that aside, its high quality and really big. If I was young again, I would buy this for myself.

Ein absoluter Blickfang, Box total edel, Aufbau machte anhand der ausführlichen Anleitung keine Probleme, habe den Bugatti, Ford Mustang, Bully, VW Käfer,Mac Antham, aber dieses Set schlägt einfach alles, aber woher kommt der Preis von 590 Euro jetzt ?

Un deleite armar este lego, es mi primer Technic, las piezas vienen en paquetes por lo que puedes armar cada sección del carro sin problemas. El manual está súper detallado y es sencillo de seguir, además cuenta con información histórica de la marca. En promedio me tomó 20 horas terminar el armado. Busca en google los mods de la comunidad, hay mejoras muy buenas propuestas por las personas, además de que encontraras cómo evitar un error que está impreso en el manual (respecto al cambio de velocidades de la transmisión
