What is the nano nail buffer shiner made of? Is it glass like the nail file?

Yes, both the nail file and buffer shiner are made of glass. The buffer shiner is laser etched, with nano friction surface it can make your nails shiny and smooth. The nail file is acid etched, so the surface is much rougher, suitable for shaping and manicuring nails.

Are the file and buffer two sided?

The file is 2 sided. I use one side of the buffer for shine and finish with the smooth side. I LOVE THEM. Wish I had my whole life I bought on Amaxon a "white pencile" you use under finger nails. Your nails look like a professional manicure. VERY HIGH SHINE. Helps with the annoying roughness on nails. CANT GGO WRONG Rinse if you want. Last a life time. Bought a spare for my purse. BEST BEST FILES. O, the main file has a beautiful case. Buffer a clear case. ENJOY

what thickness? 2mm or 3mm?

The file is the long pointy one that fits in the blue container. The buffer is the shorter one that fits in the clear container.
