A: Never, *ever* touch the sensor in a digital camera with anything. Only air blast from a squeeze type blower (never canned air). If isn't enough, have it professionally cleaned.

**Q: What is the best type of cleaner to use in the spray bottle to clean camera lenses?**
A: I try to use Canon lens cleaning fluid.  Although I don't apply directly to the lens. I spray it on a good microfiber cleaning cloth.

**Q: Does the cleaning pad on the pen contain a carbon compound (as in some other pens in this category) or is it just a small sponge?**
A: Hi there! Thank you for your question. Yes, the lens cleaning pen does contain a double sided carbon tip just like the other more expensive cleaning pens. The sponge on the inside of the cap is not for cleaning, but for keeping the carbon tip from getting dry. Please use either side of the carbon tip for cleaning your lens. **Q: Can i clean my canon ae 1 with this?**
A: I'm not familiar with the Canon ae 1, but as far as I can tell, the Altura cleaning kit is generic and would work for any type of lens.  I used it on a pair of old binoculars and it worked great to clean up the lenses.
