I bought two of these to hoist up my bikes and the installation was reasonable, but I had to go out and buy lug bolts to ensure proper depth in the stud. Obviously the hardest part is knowing where your beams are (and which direction they run) if you have drywall on the ceiling.I tested "rope slips out of hands while lowering" scenario and the bike jumped a bit when the rope lock kicked in and the hook slipped off from the seat, BUT the handlebar hooks held on and kept the bike hanging by 1 hook. So just FIY, make sure the handlebar hooks are tight and deep. Alternatively you can hook into the frame at the back (if you have disc brakes) but your bike will be sloped on the hoist.

Installation assez simple mais par contre il faut aider la montée du vélo .La corde est très longue , je vais sans doute installé un treuil manuel pour plus de facilité.

The hook for the seat could be improve, cause if you are using a mtb seat the is flat, the hook cannot hook it hence it will slipped. Happened to me, hence I had to do a MacGyverism to solve that issue.
