I usually use 2.5s, especially when I was doing A-Level Music, as it was a soft, quieter sound. Several years later and I decided to try these 3s when I ran out of reeds. Best reeds ever! I've always loved Vandoren, but wih these 3s? I've never had so much control and volume. I've always wondered how a new student could play louder than me, when I'd been doing it for nearly fourteen years to their none. Wih these reeds, though? I have control, great, rich sound AND above all else for me, volume. Will definitely be getting more of these.
