does this fit a 4.5 x 10" filter? If so why is it not stated on the product as most of your customers would rather use a larger filter & replace less

It takes a 2.5x10 to be replaced every 6 months.

As I understand it the Post-Filter in the whole house diagram is a 5 micron filtration?

Check on Amazon or Home Depot but it's hard to find without the housing..

Sure why not. Your question doesn’t say anything about pre and post what. I would venture to guess that you have some other kind of water treatment equipment between the two so maybe you would put different filter media in the post filter to further improve water quality. There are many kinds of filters you might use inside the canister .

Works great as a shower filter!

Used it for shower filter. Works great! Paired it with CTO10-KDF 10x2.5 filter. Only needs two fitting adapters, 3/4 male to 1/2 female & 3/4 to 1/2 male.
