these little darlings take the heel impact out of running. Discreetly slide under normal insoles. I guess whether they work for you depends on yuor feet, shoes, running style - but they have worked very nicely for me!

The heel insole is great when it works but a big drawback is that the top is still gel (other heel insoles would have a cover material), if your shoes have a narrow entry, there's a high chance your feel will drag the insole with it as you insert it into the shoe, the only solution around this would be to trim the insole.
