Also, a small 1-1/2" dia face rawhide mallet--- I bought one, and shortened the handle---better control with a shorter handle, to fit in the palm of my hand---it suffices nicely. Sometimes, I do chiseling into hardwood material, and need to so some light hammering---a mallet functions nicely for such tasks.
