Melissa & Doug Car Carrier Truck and Cars Wooden Toy Set with 1 Truck and 4 Cars 5.75" x 12" x 3"

I absolutely love Melissa & Doug toys. We have bought quite a few over the years and the quality never disappoints. I really love wooden toys because my younger son is a very destructive child and he breaks everything! Wood and strong plastics hold up the best when it comes to him so I buy him a lot of the wooden Melissa & Doug toys. This particular one was purchased for him for Christmas. He loves playing with cars and trucks and when I saw this, I knew it would last longer than his cheaper plastic ones. With his cheaper cars and trucks, the wheels were always coming off or doors or other parts were always getting broken from him slamming them together and making them "crash". This set has held up incredibly well even with all of his rough horsing. It's been a few months now and nothing has broken. I have read a lot of other reviews that state that theirs broke rather quickly and easily. We've never had that problem with any Melissa & Doug toy thus far. They still have some wooden vehicles that we purchased a few years ago and they are still in great shape with just a few knicks in the paint. Overall I love this brand. I dont really like that its made in China but a lot of things are these days and it can be hard to avoid. I would recommend this toy to others. The Melissa & Doug Car Carrier Truck and Cars set is fantastic! My child loves playing with the sturdy wooden truck and colorful cars. It’s perfect for imaginative play and helps with motor skills. The quality is excellent, and it’s a hit with my kids. Highly recommend for hours of fun!

This wooden truck with wooden cars is great for play when my grandson comes over. The colors are bright. All the parts are smooth & well made. He enjoys maneuvering all the parts. It is well made and a great toy. I’m glad I purchased this.

As a pediatric speech language pathologist and a mom of 2 littles, I have thoroughly enjoyed this car hauler. It was an instant hit with my 2 year old (24 month) and is frequently played with. Quality - Constructed with a thick wood -pieces cohesively move together, can be moved one handed -consistent paint color all around - I would rate the durability as a 5/5 Functionality - Comes with 4 M&D cars - Hot Wheels are a frequent passenger on ours - easily transitions from "driving mode" to "unloading mode" -can unattach the front truck from the trailer -Goes along really well with the M&D car wash (see video) I am very pleased as the education value of this set, the speech, language, and cognitive learning opportunities are never ended. While playing with this, we talk about colors, speed, movements (up, down, forward, back), jobs etc. I bought this during a prime day and feel like it was a great value for the money. It seems like it will hold up a long time and I imagine would be a relevant toy for the ages 2-10ish.

Purchase of this set along with the 60 piece block set, race car set and town set for my 4yr old grandson for Christmas were perfect choices. He loves building things (garages, houses, ramps, tunnels, towers, forts, etc)and pretending with anything car related so these items were perfect and have provided literally hours upon hours of imaginative fun for him alone and with other family members. The blocks especially are well sized, substantial, durable, with nice rounded corners. No problems whatsoever with wheels on the race cars or car carrier, and no problems with odor issues with the blocks some other reviewers have mentioned. The wood carrying/storage boxes for the blocks, town set and even the race cars are great when it's time to pick up - but during play time get used/turned into part of the play (bases for any of the above-mentioned building "projects".)I recommend any/all of the four purchases to stimulate good old-fashioned, creative, imaginative play for younger and even older children. I would buy them again.

This is a great size for a two year old whose obsession is cars and all things go. The details are amazing and vibrant. The colors are stunning and the details are great. Love that it’s wooden, will hopefully last us a long time. It’s light enough that the kiddos can play with it and enjoy their time. Small enough that it fits well in their hands. The trucks ramp moves smoothly up and down. The cars roll on to the ramp smoothly as well. We haven't ran into any issues with pieces coming off or paint chipping. Love, Love,Love! No batteries kinda fun. The back opens to a ramp so the cars can drive up. We already had a few other Melissa and Doug vehicles. They all fit on the truck, that was a nice surprise.

Bought for my grandson who loves playing with it. A well made loved toy.
