I am so happy I found this cold brew carafe! My coffee odyssey has been a dramatic one, truly. I started drinking Starbucks Cold Brew last summer and thought I'd be ready to switch back to hot coffee once it got cold outside but I've been drinking cold coffee throughout the winter. I have a hard water problem which has made it difficult to make a good hot cup of coffee at home. I filter water but I like to keep that for my water drinking, so I got hooked on the cold brew. But it's expensive. Meaning paying $6 or $7 for 40 oz of coffee stopped being cost efficient. Can I make my own cold brew at home? I found this pitcher when I started to do research and gave it a go. Oh my God! I love it! I can make a $10 bag of coffee go way further than I ever can from the cold brew I get from the store. This pitcher is easy to use and gives me just what I need for the weekend. See, I drink hot coffee in the office; I only drink cold coffee when I'm working from home one or two days a week and on Saturday and Sunday. This pitcher gives me just enough. I followed the instructions in the booklet that comes with the maker, get it ready late Friday afternoon and by Saturday morning, I have some really good cold brew coffee! The $10 bag of coffee I buy nets me 3 pitchers of coffee which is so cost effective! And the coffee tastes amazing! For my first carafe of cold coffee, I got the Vanilla/Lavender Starbucks coffee. Flavored coffee is always tricky because you have to go light when you make it to make the most of the flavor, but I followed the instructions - 16 tablespoons of coffee and it still came out pretty good! I'm excited to try different coffees but it's been really nice to get more coffee for the money I'm spending this way, rather than spending upwards of $7.00 for the cold brew in the store! This is definitely a good pitcher/carafe to start with. I've been very happy and have been looking forward to my weekend coffee fix!

I’ve really enjoyed using this, and it’s easy to use, easy to clean (dishwasher safe is a huge plus!), and makes smooth, delicious cold brew every time. The mesh filter is fine enough to keep grounds out, and the comfort grip handle makes pouring super convenient. The design is sleek and the glass carafe feels sturdy. It fits nicely in the fridge without taking up much space, which I appreciate. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the size. It says 1.6 quarts, but for me, that ends up making only about two decent-sized iced coffees per brew. If you drink cold brew daily or share with someone else, you’ll find yourself making it pretty often. Overall, it’s a great product—just wish there was a larger version available!

I've had this product for just under 3 years before the mesh lining on the filter started coming loose. I did put it through the dishwasher so that may have affected the adhesive. I will hand wash from now on. I ordered another one because the replacement filter didn't seem worth the price if I could get a new glass jar. No other issues. I like the design of the lid and how it seals. It works well at making cold brew although I find that stirring the grounds halfway through the seep time produced a stronger taste.

I have gone through several cold brewers from the cheap to the fancy Japanese imported ones. The Primula Burke Deluxe checks off a lot of boxes the others ones don’t. The biggest issue I’ve had with others brewers were the size vs how to hold them. The large heavy glass ones have a small screw-on handle that ergonomically can be a nightmare to hold if you have weak wrists. This one has a nice, easy to hold handle that distributes the weight evenly. You won’t drop it! The plastic sheath around it is non-slip so it won’t slide off your counter. If you’re a huge klutz like me, this is important. All of the pieces snap in beautifully. The filter can be fully disassembled to be cleaned. I’ve had no coffee grounds in my coffee as the filter locks in so you can pour water in and there’s no mess! Overall, this brewer is ergonomic and easy to use. It’s far superior to others I’ve used and you can’t beat the price!

I have had a lot of different coffee makers. Normally I use a fairly expensive “specialty” coffee maker to make my iced coffee but now that summertime is coming I find that I want to drink larger servings than my coffee maker makes and it’s just kind of a pain to have to make several smaller servings at a time to fill my summer-sized cup. I decided to look for a coffee maker that was dedicated to just making iced coffee and after reading an independent review of coffee makers, they listed this as their favorite “manual” brand. I decided to buy this but when I came on Amazon it was sold out so I did a search and I almost bought the one that was Amazon recommended because the reviews looked pretty good but when I started reading them I noticed many people said that they didn’t like that you fill the pot with water and then lowered the container of coffee down into the water so I decided to wait for this one to come back in stock, and I am so glad I did! It is very easy to use. I had ground coffee from the supermarket and decided to try it even though it wasn’t quite as course as a medium grind I found that no loose grounds got through the mesh sleeve and into my coffee. The pot is small enough to fit inside the door of my refrigerator and yet I am able to have several very large tumbler sized cups of iced coffee before it’s time to make another pot. Brewing time is 24 hours but it’s so easy to do it’s not a problem at all. You put your grounds into the sleeve and pour cold water slowly over them. After it has sat 24 hours you just open the lid and lift the sleeve of coffee grounds out. It has a bottom cap that comes off easily for the used grounds to be dumped out. The instructions say you can stir during brewing, but I haven’t done that yet, and my coffee tastes great. I was a little worried that it was glass because I’m not super gentle with things but it is surrounded by a rubbery type of material that seems that it will keep it safe from bumps. I am only on my second week of using this but I am very pleased and highly recommend it. Much better than any other I have tried and a lot more cost-effective than buying bottled iced coffee at the store or at the coffee shop.

The size of this coffee/tea maker is ideal as it fits nicely into my fridge. Its broad base also ensures that it is not easily toppled over. It is also rather easy to clean the mesh filter. Overall, an excellent product!

I have heard positive things about cold brew coffee, so I thought I'd try this cold brewer and I love it. It's very stylish looking with a glass carafe inside of the plastic holder. The lid of the brewer is flexible and has a section which holds the mesh filter, which can easily be removed. You simply fill the filter with coarse or regular grind coffee, then add some water into the filter holding the coffee to wet the grounds, then fill the rest of the brewer with cold water until it reaches the top level of the grounds. You then let it sit in the fridge for 24+ hours [I leave mine for 36 hours to give a more concentrated brew]. Then you remove the filter, dump out the grounds and run warm water through the filter to clean it. The bottom of the filter can be unscrewed for easy cleaning. When the coffee has brewed it's fairly concentrated so I add about half a cup of the coffee to my mug and fill the rest with hot water. It gives me a warm cup of coffee which I like. You can heat it in the microwave for one minute if you like your coffee hot. I find that cold brewing eliminates the acid and oils that you get from hot brewing, so you get a much nicer tasting coffee.

Se puede agitar el café con una cuchara para extraer màs concentración pero eso llevarà sedimentos fuera del filtro y hacer tu café brumoso en lugar de cristalino. Es la tercera que compro por ser de cristal pueden romperse en un descuido pero son perfectas. Es mejor usar molienda fresca que comprar el café ya molido de supermercado.
