The xp5800 (xp5s) does support VoLTE. Supported on AT&T and AT&T GoPhone prepaid. T-Mobile may support it. Metro by T-Mobile does NOT. This phone may be blacklisted on some networks. Verizon, MINT, Straight talk and BOOST only allow officially whitelisted devices. I hate the use of "HD voice" as it gives the consumer the perception that it is hi-definition (or higher quality). The acronym actually refers to hi-density. Previous voice technology would multiplex analog or digital voice signals as 123412341234. HD voice uses a different multiplexing system of 8,8,8 (signals 1,2,3 are explicit, signal 4 is calculated from 8 minus check bit minus 3+2+1). Obviously you can put more voice calls (users) on the same radio this way. You can even multiplex in data (8,x,y,z,8,x,y,z,8,x,y,z) with the same overhead. So a "phone" that supports VoLTE is no longer a phone. It is now a cellular handset modem with audio coding/decoding ability. Digital Subsciber Line (DSL) is a close approximation of the concept in wired technology. The XP5700 does NOT support VoLTE (unless you break the kernel and root then sideload a modded 5s ROM it will, but only outside US).
