Not always clear or coherent
Having seen the other reviews I had high hopes for this book but I am disappointed. Each day starts with a quote which is very difficult to make sense of and the explanation of the quote is rarely coherent. You can pick up the odd gem but overall inconsistent in its messages and difficult to understand. My husband and I read each day together (both with a career in academics) but we are often left scratching our heads or underwhelmed by the apparent wisdom. Maybe the Stoic philosophy just isn’t for us!
