Le edizioni sono molto belle realizzate con carta uso mano opaca, corredate di fotografie in bianco e nero che mostrano le possibilità di realizzazioni con un semplice cartoncino. Le piegature e tagli vengono indicati step by step con semplici tutorial grafici. Ottima guida per apprendere le tecniche di piegatura e approcciare un hobby molto rilassante. Se amate l'origami giapponese tradizionale, utile per riprodurre animali, figure antropomorfe e così via, questi manuali non fanno per voi in quanto mostrano come creare forme tridimensionali geometriche o astratte.

I'm a life-long fan of popup books. In the late 1950s, an uncle who had served in Japan brought home some amazing Japanese pop up books and as a pre-schooler, I was hooked! I've loved to read them to my kids as a parent and collect them, to this day, for reading to next generations. My wife and I both enjoy craft projects, when we have the time, and working with card stock in creating unusual, eye-catching materials is something we enjoy -- and that people who are on the receiving end seem to enjoy as well. That's the background. We have supplies around the house, already, like various kinds of card stock, a complete set of craft knives, cutting boards, etc. This book, then is a perfect, step-by-step orientation to turning card stock into three-dimensional pop ups, starting with very basic shapes and, by the end of the book, graduating into super-cool constructions. There are other books offered on Amazon claiming to offer the same introduction -- and my wife and I have a couple of the other books, as well. Some are morel colorful than this book. Some seem to be more fun to explore. But for someone who seriously wants to be producing these ingenious crafts, this is a very solid book. Step by step. Charts you can easily replicate on your own desk or work table. A logical progression of how the effects are generated. If our experience sounds like your expectation, then this is a great choice for you.

Das buch ist genau das, was ich brauche: Eine sehr gründliche einführung in die konstruktion der pop-ups. Damit kann ich meine ideen nicht nur umsetzen, sondern bekomme auch anstöße, zu neuen projekten. Sehr empfehlenswert, danke an den autor 😁
