Best platform peddles on the market!

Initially, I was using the stock pedals that come with most bicycles; however, those pedals tend to slip, and when climbing steep hills, the lack of grip makes you lose power and increases fatigue. When I switched to these Shimano pedals with pins, the improvement in performance was immediate: the grip is better, they feel more comfortable, and you feel much more secure when riding downhill. As for quality, it's enough to say they're Shimano.

Nice very good quality durable and right size for my feet.

The build quality feels good. I expect them to handle quite a beating. The adjustable pegs are a nice feature..18 pegs per pedal! They are quite grippy even in wet conditions if you extend the pegs all the way. I find the shallow setting unusable. They aren’t flashy or eye catching at all imho. Perhaps the biggest con is the weight. Hard to make a bullet proof product that’s affordable and light though. To sum them up: Heavy and durable, grippy pedals that blend in and don’t make much of a statement. A very practical pedal.

Don't cheap out—only the sickest pedals are for smashing against your shins

I am restoring a 1988 Nishiki Colorado and wanted new pedals to replace the saw-toothed shin shredders that came with it. I saw these Shimanos, and they looked like a good match. They are very well made and have a beautiful satin aluminum finish that goes well with the other brushed aluminum components of the bike (see photos). They may be a bit bright and showy for some bikes, but work perfectly on the Colorado. To me they have the perfect amount of grip, and the grip studs won't shred the shins like my old pedals. Five stars all the way.

Bit on the heavier side, but we know Shimano this pedal will last a long time. Comes with 2 sets of washers (different thickness) so you can adjust how the pins protrudes.

街乗りクロスバイクに使用しています。他社の同等製品が安いので悩みましたが、買って正解。 ロードバイクで片面SPDのPD-EH500を使用したとき、フラット面の凹面カーブと滑り止めピンがスニーカーにジャストフィットしたので、同じ凹面カーブと滑り止めピンを両面ペダルを探してました。本製品は両面ともPD-EH500のフラット面と同等で、凹面カーブと滑り止めピンがスニーカーに絶妙にフィットし、使い勝手抜群です。 信頼のシマノ製品で耐久性も抜群なので、安い製品をいくつも使うよりも、少々高くても本製品を使い続ける方が、得だし愛着も湧くし、やっぱ、買って正解ですね。

Shimano is great!

Erg veel grip en ze zien er mooi uit. De standaard inbusjes heb ik vervangen voor de iets kleinere variant, deze krijg je er extra bij geleverd. Ik ben er blij mee.

Pedali molto belli e fatti bene,ma li ho restituiti appena arrivati perché mi sembravano usati e mancavano i distanziatori dei pin. Ma ne ho ordinati subito un altro paio e vi dirò. Aggiorno: arrivati in anticipo Amazon sempre impeccabile, montati e provati oggi per una 40 di km, be' che dire sono eccezionali un grip da paura ,larghi al punto giusto (almeno per i miei piedi da 42 ) sono impeccabili in discesa il piede è incollato ,insomma fantastici per il rapporto qualità prezzo sono il top, nei percorsi tecnici eccezionali, consigliatissimi.
