Not cost-effective compared to other organic fertilizers I have used, considering how much you have to use per gallon, and it does not dissolve as well so be aware you need to spend quite a bit of time mixing.

I started using this towards the end of petunia season. I’m unclear of the benefits of this product as the plants don’t seem to be doing well, but it’s also the end of the season as other reviewers have said the plant food has a really odd smell, unpleasantly odd

I was very reluctant to purchase this due to all of the review complaining about the aroma. Don't let those reviews discourage you. Here's what it is like to use this version of Miracle-Gro in a one gallon watering device: 1. Open the bag and get an initial puff of dust that smells like a garden/greenhouse. 2. Dispense two of the 1 TBSP scoops into the container using the provided scoop and fill container with water. 3. Notice there are some clumps. Use a long handled spoon to stir or shake the container. It will look white and cloudy. 4. Feed your plants. Carry on with your day. If you have been to a greenhouse or nursery, this is the exact aroma you can expect.
