Bought these for my daughter in yr 5 - Her primary school are very active in the new changes and I was concious that I needed the new style books which are more problem solving and using skills rather then just working out the sums - These do that. Had a quick flick through and the standard version has simple questions with 1 problem to solve the question and this version "advanced" has a multiple problem to work out and going more indepth -the advanced level which our primary school say is called "exceeding" is the old style level 5 for end of yr 6....
