I have a drained pan outside the unit in athe attic for backup. Is there another drain pan inside the unit?

All I know is thst mine doesn't. There's supposed to be a water level switch that shuts the unit off if the drain becomes plugged but mine recently failed and I had water dripping from a light fixture in the room below the unit. I am too old and stiff to crawl round the attic so I can't pur the tablets in the pan and I paid more than it would have cost to have a repair man come out a couple of times a year and do it for me.

What color are the tabs? and if blue, I would think that I would see this color in the outside drain area as it dissolves the muck, yes?

Yes the tablets are definitely blue but the condensate discharge looks like clear water. I've never collected it in a glass to see if there is any coloration but the appearance is just water without color.

Do these tablets deteriorate or chemically melt Styrofoam found in window air conditioners?

effective solution for Gel drain blockage due to FCU pan

at beginning I tried one tablet for the FCU pans, but because of the high relative humidity and old FCU unit, I placed 4 tablets and the results are amazing
