This motor failed after about a year. The problem was the speed control module. The company I bought it from through. Amazon would not help me at all with finding the problem or finding the part to repair it. Even though I showed them the Record of the purchase from Amazon they said they couldn’t help me because they were not able to find the receipt. Terribly company PR and questionable product.

So far it's working like a charm. I bought this motor and a 12V-75AH batteryfor my Intex Excursion 5. I felt that a 30 lb. motor wouldn't be powerful enough, and a 55 lb. motor would put too much stress on the rear of the boat. I decided to split the difference to go with this 46 lb. I took the boat out with two of my friends for a few hours. The total passenger weight was about 510 lbs. and we cruised the Delaware River at a decent clip. The boat itself is made for up to 5 passengers with a total weight of 1300 lbs. Nothing to do with the motor, but I initially had it too low in the water whick made it much slower. After some online searching with my phone, the props should be 10"-12" below the surface of the water. I made the adjustment and we were cruising. I guess longevity will be the real test, but for now this motor is a winner. Not to mention it's less expensive than the top name brands.

Unfortunately the power indicator does not work with a Lifepo4 battery, so I bought a monitor separately. Seller said it should work - but in my research it is common that it does not. Power indicator shows full charge the entire time. Going from forward 1 to 2 to 3 there is not much noticeable difference if any. 4-5 increases a little. So for my application it is a two speed motor in forward. Also, it has alot of power on speed/gear one. Wish it would go a little slower.

Goplus 86 lbs. Une semaine d'essai tous les jours sur un ponton. Moteur qui me semble bon, mais la première vitesse est beaucoup trop rapide pour troller à la pêche. Un autre défaut agaçant, la première vitesse d'avant ou de marche arrière n'est pas graduelle, ça donne des coups assez fort et ça complique l'accostage à un quai. Les 10 lumières sur le moteur qui indiquent la charge de la batterie ne servent à rien si vous utilisez une batterie LFP parce qu'une batterie LFP fonctionne à12,8 V jusqu'à la fin de son cycle et puis plus rien. Les 10 lumières restent allumer jusqu'à la fin et puis tout d'un coup, ça arrête. Je suis resté en panne au milieu du lac. Si ces informations peuvent aider, tant mieux! 2025 08 15 : La première vitesse est toujours aussi désagréable à utiliser, trop puissante, ça donne des coups désagréables. La deuxième et la troisième vitesse ne servent à peu près à rien. Je ne recommande pas l'achat de ce moteur. 2025 08 19 : Sortie sur le lac et je suis tombé en panne. Le moteur ne fonctionne plus. Vérification, la batterie est pleine charge. 2025 08 20 : Après deux essais, le vendeur ne me rappelle pas. Le pire achat que j'ai fait chez Amazon depuis mon abonnement il y a des années. Je veux être remboursé. 2025 08 22 : Avec l'aide d'Amazon, retour du moteur chez Goplus pour un remboursement.

after about 10 hours of use the 86lb Goplus trolling motor seems to be well made and powerful. The company that makes this DOES NOT SELL REPLACEMENT PARTS, if your motor is on warranty they'll send new parts free, but the warranty is only valid for two years from the date of manufacture, the trolling motor I received was past the warranty. These motors are designed to go about 4 miles an hour, putting one on a much smaller boat won't make that boat go much faster as the prop will cavitate.
