Mostenbocker Lift Off - Instant Markers Pens Inks Remover 22oz

I bought this product the first time as part of the three-pack that has the different types of stain removers (pets, oils, markers or something like that) because I needed to remove an oilish stain my my car's carpet. It worked well, but given that oil marks can usually be removed with any strong product I wasn't too amazed. I didn't plan to ever have to use the marker stain remover (this product) so it went into storage. About one year later, my son left a marker in his pocket and it made a big stain in his shirt. Not too convinced it would work I tried this product. The results were incredible, the stain was completely gone, and after a wash there was no trace of it! Sadly, I forgot to close the bottle (it was a very small one) so it dried up quickly, and I ordered this product, which is a much larger bottle, to have at home just in case. Just last month, my son had a play date and his new friend apparently is an artist. He drew with a blue marker all over my four piece motorized recliner (which I had just paid $1600). I was mad! I thought it was a goner, given the extensiveness of the damage, the sort of fabric (suede-like) and the fact that you can't put a four-hundred pound recliner in the washer. But I gave it a try. Wow! It took some rubbing this time and about three successive applications, but the whole thing was GONE! Not a trace of the marker drawings, it looks almost like new (I say almost because I, knowing where the drawings were, can still find the spot and kind of see it, but no one else, perhaps aside from the author of the drawings which is not going to be allowed to get even close to the sofa for a long time, would ever see anything there). I don't know what's the working principle of this product, but my best guess is that it has something to do with magic. I highly recommend buying this product just in case you ever need it. And if you buy the small bottle, remember to close the cap after using it. :-)

This product states that it will remove permanently marker. It dose not even lighten the marks. I am very disappointed in this purchase.

I was skeptical whether this product would work based on some of the reviews. But, because I have confidence in the Amazon guarantee system, I figured I had nothing to lose by trying the product so I purchased it. I had a load of clothes that were accidently washed with a green crayon or marker of some kind. The lint trap and screen in the dryer had thick, oily, dark green residue, and I had several white articles of clothing streaked with this dark green. I sprayed each article of clothing. One was a white cotton skirt. Another, a white, nylon racerback running top. Another, a white pair of cotton/lycra blend capris. I threw them all in the wash with my Kirkland detergent and washed on hot, and selected the extra rinse cycle. The skirt, for which I'd had no hope, was virtually stain free, except one small spot. The running top had a few small streaks remaining, as did the pants. But the majority of the stains were gone. So I resprayed with Lift Off and repeated the wash cycle. This time, the skirt was completely stain free. The running top still had a few small streaks, but were very faint and the pants as well. I can live with these as they are barely noticeable and will reapply more Lift Off the next time I wash these after wearing. Compared to the horrible mess these were, they looked amazing. I had been prepared to throw several hundred dollars worth of ruined clothes away. I used Lift Off on the lint screen and trap in the dryer. After several applications, (the stains were HEAVY and oily), again, the mess was gone.

Does NOT work on all fabrics. Pilot's website said this is a good ink remover - i spilled a pilot precise pen. It didn't work on my bed spread, and I tried it multiple times - it was a rayon mixed bedspread. The only think that partially worked was soaking the spill in alcohol - it faded, but it didn't remove. As for the product, you can tell that it works. And, I like that it's all natural - no weird noxious smells. I think it actually smells good. When I purchased the product, it came wrapped in a plastic bag. Unfortunately, the product was leaking all inside the bag. BUT, it showed me that it works - the label and all the ink from the label was melting off! I believe this product is worth the money, and it's worth a shot if you have a devastating pen leak on something you love. If it doesn't work, it's nice to have in the cabinet for other spills.

My daughter accidentally spilled my hot pink nail polish all over her brand new dress. The spill was at least the size of a dollar coin. I scrubbed with nail polish remover for a couple hours, applied goo gone, bug spray and to no avail, did the stain come out, even after washing it twice. Once I got the Lift Off #3, I followed the directions and started to use the back end of the toothbrush. I could not believe what my eyes were seeing, SERIOUSLY!! I ended up getting every single spot removed from that dress. Then, a few days later, I also discovered that my daughter had left a marker in her pocket and after washing her clothes, I noticed one of her other dresses was covered in red marker. Again, I applied the Lift Off, and sure enough, the marker came right out! Every mother needs a bottle of this in her household. Great quality product, totally worth it!!!!

I tried this on a denim jacket that had ink stains around the sleeves and after spraying, rubbing, washing, and spraying, rubbing, washing the stains were still there. Then I tried it in my car, as a pen leaked in one of my seats. Stains gone! I wish this product was more reliable.
