Hands down the best balance workout I've tried, and the most fun!
I'm an avid surfer, slackliner, snowboarder, and rock climber, and balance is a critical component of my skill set that I focus on with every workout. To perform well in these disciplines takes constant conditioning, and I perform best in any athletic activity when my balance muscles are finely tuned. I needed a balance trainer for my home gym to help condition my legs and core in between outdoor sessions. Since picking up the Skills Board a few months ago, my balance, leg, and core strength is at an all-time peak. I credit daily sessions on the skill board for this. The skill board is hands down the best balancing trainer I've ever tried. I've owned indo boards, Bosu balance balls, and a handful of other balance oriented workout equipment, and nothing else comes close. It engages my core every time I step on it, allows me to work my stabilizer muscles while doing squats, and generally makes working out way more fun. I even use it as a platform for doing push-ups, and with a few different exercises, I'm able to get a serious full-body workout with just the skill board. There's a bit of a learning curve in learning how to use it, but I found it easily manageable by starting with the ball less inflated, then pumping it up over time. By setting the ball with different pressures, I can adjust the intensity and difficulty of use, and I was able to work my way up to the maximum inflation. I started out by mounting it with my hands on a table for stability, and over time eased away until I could mount it hands-free. The 360 degree movement allowed by the ball, rather than a foam roller, engages my muscles far more than my Indo board, and really helps me hone the balance I need to perform well in other sports. And did I mention that it's super fun? Now, even on rainy days I can experience a similar sensation to surfing without leaving my living room. The workout can be as intense as you want it to be. I can rep out 5 sets of 10 squats with weights, or just stand on it while having a casual conversation or chillin watching TV. I keep it in the middle of my living room so that I can hop on it randomly though out the day, and use it with other gym equipment when I'm going for a more serious workout. The improvement I've experienced in my balance for other sports is obvious. After a month using the skill board between surf and slackline sessions, I could easily notice the difference in my performance. I consider it an essential aspect of my daily exercise routine, and all the other disciplines I take part in benefit from that. This thing is officially my favorite piece of gym equipment. I use it every day and highly recommend it!

SkillBoard: A 360 Degree Challenge... and a Whole Lot of Fun!
I am really enjoying my new Skill Board. I have it set up in my living room and I jump on it for just a minute or two every time I am taking a break from work, cooking or other tasks around the house. It is a real plus that the board comes with an air pump, as this is something you will need to pump up the ball. Because the Skill Board comes with a pump (and an air pressure gauge), you don't need to go out and purchase an air pump for yourself. A real plus! The board itself is real high quality. It doesn't bend and will certainly last a long time. I use my Skill Board on a carpeted living room floor, but if you want to use the board elsewhere, you will want to make sure there is something relatively soft underneath it to ensure that the board doesn't get scratched up. In some instances, I wish the board could be used outside on the street or sidewalk, but luckily I have a place in my home where it is safe and convenient to use. This, however, is something to take into consideration when buying a Skill Board (or any other balance board for that matter) - Where are you going to put it? The ball itself is probably the weakest part of this product. My ball loses air and needs to be pumped up frequently. Other than that, the Skill Board is exactly what I hoped it would be. How hard is it to balance on the Skill Board? Well, I was surprised to find that I could balance on the board for about 1 to 2 minutes after only 1 week of practice. My first few attempts at the Skill Board were pretty embarrassing, but once I started getting up on the board, I found it easier and easier to gain a sense of balance. Holding onto a wall or some type of furniture really helps when you are just getting started. Now my big question is.... what's next? After you master balancing on the Skill Board, how do you take this thing to the next level? That's kind of where I am now. It would be great if there were some videos showing OTHER things you can do on the Skill Board besides just balancing on it. I need some more advanced HOW-TO videos like that in order for me to progress further. Overall, I really like the Skill Board. I think other balance boards would be too easy for me, as they just rock back and forth - left to right. But because the Skill Board is a 360 degree balance board, it is far more challenging and better simulates the experience of skateboarding, surfing or riding a snowboard.... and I really like that!

Perfect Trainer for Core and fun!
The Skil board took about 5 mins to get set up and followed instructions to keep it less inflated to start as I go on my journey to functional fitness. Love having it outside so I can practice on it and play with the dogs. It is definitely challenging, and I started with using a tree until I can stand stable. I can already tell the fast action stability is going to be much stronger this season And will be great for all of my mountain sports Portable and easy to take to the park and next hang out! The whole house uses it and great way to get strong while having fun. Great inside or out! Update- have been able to increase the air pressure using pull up bar for support and feeling great progress in 1 week!!!

Versatile training
This balance board and ball are exactly what the company said they were. I've had mine for two days. I started next to a kitchen counter on a yoga mat with the ball at ~4 PSI. Right away I was able to test my balance. This morning with the same setup, I was able to do much more: hold, look at and swipe my phone, also played with shifting my feet, shifting my weight and making the ball roll side to side, front to back, and in circles or figure 8s. I am 63 and fit. I have owned a Bosu Balance trainer, a wobble board, a slack-line and have done some balance sports. I like the versatility of this skill board. I have already improved my board type skills, and will do things like squats and strength maintenance training. I really appreciate that as a beginner I can use this set up in the easiest ways and have a lots of room to improve. I also really like that I can do this in my kitchen when it is raining. Balance, strength, and endurance are important to me.
