This is the paddle leash stripped to its bare essentials. No more heavy coils or soaked tubular webbing. We created the most comfortable paddle leash. It is constructed with Super Stretch paddle strap material and is lined with a shaft-gripping material that will keep your leash firmly in place. Once you attach the strap to your paddle, it stays exactly where you put it. We use nylon fasteners and shock cord specifically designed for outdoor use. (No more locked up and corroded brass fasteners to maintain!) Our super strong 5mm shock cord is twice as thick as most other bungee paddle leashes. Keep all of your expensive gear safe and secure. Can be used for paddles, fishing poles, electronics, safety equipment, etc. Made in the USA. For flat water, touring, or recreational kayaking. Not to be used as a safety device. Review: This works well! - I was feeling insecure about paddling and worrying my paddle might float away unexpectedly sometime which it did once (but I won't go into that!). I'm not clever at figuring out how to use things with no instructions. This came with none. I emailed the seller and got a quick response (like 2 minutes) with plenty of details. This is simple to use. So it would be a good idea to include instructions to begin with. Review: It does what it's made to do - It works fine. It took a while for me to figure out how the velcro goes on and a little expermenting to fine the best place to attach the hook end but it doesn't get in the way and stays on once you figure it out. You put the strap around the oar, through the buckle and then come back the same way you came over the oar and over the velcro. I attach the hook onto my front bunge. So far I haven't lost my oar but then again I don't do white water. You might want something stronger if you do white water or a lot of mild rappids.

Perfect Paddle Leash
The clip on one end of the leash is solid and holds well. The Velcro with small rubber insert wraps tightly on the paddle and stays on. The leash is nice and strong and black in color to match my kayak. The length is enough to stay out of the way yet hold close. PROS: Color: Balck Holds tight Easy on/off Nice strong clip Leash strong and floats with good length Price great

Kayak Leash
Excellent product! This is extremely easy to attach and remove. I feel safe and confident dropping my paddle whenever I need to take a break, stop for lunch or snap a quick picture. I even used is as a tow rope one day when my friend got tired of paddling back. It was able to withstand the pressure as I towed her and her boat for an hour. For the price you can't go wrong!!! I have used it for several weeks and even if it broke now I would still purchase another one just like it.

It is what it is
What can I say? It's a cheap strap and light weight clip that keeps your kayak paddle from floating away. I see it as a must have safety device. I don't want to be up a crick without a paddle! Simple utilitarian and inexpensive.

They aren't bad.
The velcro is a bit of a pain and the little piece of rubber that holds them in one place is pretty weak and useless. They should really cost about $3. I quit using them after I found that my paddles float anyway. I'd just use a piece of string if I had to do it again.

Adds Safety
After kayaking for the past 4+ years without a leash, I purchased this paddle leash, as per the Yellowstone National Park safety guidelines. The quality of this item was as I expected. Flexible, easy to use and adds a sense of security knowing your paddle won't float away if it slips off your boat. It's easy to wrap around the paddle and leash to the boat.

Great paddle leash
When I saw the reviews on this Premier Kayak Gripper Paddle Leash, I decided to try it. It is as the other reviewers say. It grips the paddle well. The line does not get in the way, the velcro grips the paddle handle securely, and the whole things helps a lost paddle not to be one of the concerns when paddling. It is worth buying, and I also like it because it does not coil by itself and does not therefore, create a constant pull on the paddle.
