The last bottle of Rohto Ice eye drops I used was made in Japan and that was several years ago. I have sensitive eyes and try to avoid preservatives, so when searching for something to do more than simply lubricate my eyes, was immediately drawn to this little oval bottle with the blue top which I found to be great in the past. The first thing I noticed with this bottle was that it was made in Vietnam and the second thing was that despite the online image stating clearly, "Preservative Free," there was no such wording on the package I received. When I experienced the burning eyes I get now from pollen allergies, trying to open the bottle was a more difficult feat than I'd ever experienced. You must squeeze, push and twist to open the bottle and that was not easy the first few times I tried with an acute eye sensitivity time. Closing it also takes some practice. Aside from that major negative, the actual liquid is wonderful, so much so that I won't even reduce this rating to four stars. With irritated eyes, I experience some burning but that is in a good way, not a torturous time. With closed eyes, it does its job, eventually soothing, refreshing and comforting as I want it to do. Even on bad days, I use it three times at the most, supplementing with my routine lubricating eye drops. I only wish they would fix the bottles to make them less frustrating in times of need.

You needs these eyedrops, even if you don't know it yet. They take a few times to get use to, just don't open your eyes right away after using them. They have an ingredient that really cleans out all the dirt, dust, etc out of your eyes that has a strong cooling effect, but if you put a few drops in each eye, keep your eyes closed for about 3-4 minutes, and move your eyes all around while their closed, when you open your eyes they will feel cleaner and more moisturized than they ever have. These have been the only eyedrops I've bought since the first time I used them over 5 years ago, they're amazing!

I suffer from IBS and have to take imodium (loperamide) a few times a day, it's perfect at treating my IBS symptoms but my hydration not so much. No matter how much water I drink and how hydrated I am it still dries my eyes out making them look red and glossy aka makes me look like i'm high lol which is a no go. I've tried 2 different prescription eyedrops and countless other over the counter eyedrops but nothing worked until I found Rohto 😍 I know this is cliche' as all get out but they really have changed my life before finding these I was so self conscious of my eyes because my meds made me look high and I always felt like people were judging me.. Btw I noticed that almost all of the negative reviews on here are from people blowing things up way out of proportion (which is normal nowadays unfortunately) and complaining about them "burning" like they're made out of pure acid or something so let me put you're mind at ease... These DO NOT burn they tingle but it feels SOOOOO good on my eyes like a fresh cold breeze. I understand that some people are allergic and legitimately sensitive to things (btw all the ingredients are CLEARLY listed), which I completely understand but if you're sensitive and are an adult then you should know that by now shouldn't take you buying eyedrops to find out. Speaking of the design the lid don't believe the other reviewers btw the lid is so simple a baby could figure it out, to open it just press down firmly on the lid and turn it you'll hear a snapping noise then to close it but the lid back on and push down and you'll hear a snapping noise) I normally use the red Cooling MAX Rohto eyedrops but decided to try these out. For the most part they're the same but the Cooling MAX lasts a little bit longer, is more hydrating and whitens my eyes more (obviously because it's more hydrating) whereas these are more cooling (meaning they soothe dry eyes). Also a tip: Stick you're eyedrops in your fridge it'll make them so much more soothing and cool. Ever since my dad told me about this I haven't looked back 😍 lol

Stings my eyes for the first 15seconds. It could help if you close your eyes after applying the drops. That stinging sensation wont last long. I like that the cap makes a pop sound when you open or close it. That ensures there’ll be no leaking.

After reading the reviews, I was prepared for the worst. The extreme burning? I hardly noticed. Yeah, It burned a little, not really bad, for about 4 seconds. More refreshing than normal OTC drops after that. My eyes are normally gummy and burning after a half day of computer screens, so this things were quite refreshing. I'm going for maximum burn next time, 'cause these are tame. And as for the cap being hard to open? Well, you have to be smarter than the bottle. I found it easy and satisfying. It opens with an easy push twist, and closes with a secure and satisfying snap. I quite liked it.
