The spray doesn't smell too bad, and it seems to help. I don't rely on this alone doesn't mosquitoes, but it's good for extra protection. The dogs don't mind it too much. They know they have to be sprayed before going outside.

Seems to work for my outside cat. He hates the smell which I dont blame him its super strong it smells nice just strong. I have to spray it on my hand as well to apply it on him he's scared of the spray nozzle. The smell takes a couple hours to go away off my hand. Which is why I took a star off the smell is just inconvenient but overall im glad its protecting him from the mosquitos there's so many in the area I live. He gets annoyed after I put it on him so after this one I might find something less strong smelling.

I love this product. It works well as long and its applied well. The mosquitoes still hover around but they dont land and suck. I found that if I sprayed a bunch in my hand and rubbed it on my dogs ears it even kept the deer flies away. It needed to be applied more often and applied heavier to keep them away. But it did work. The smell is strong but its pleasant. I use it for my self and my family also. This is better than any other natural mosquitoe repellent I have ever bought. I will repurchase this and will continue to be a loyal customer of this product.

We’ve been having a pretty bad mosquito problem. I was searching for something that was safe for the dogs and a friend recommended this. I was skeptical at first, but it seems to be helping. Nights when I forget to spray myself, I get bit all over and it’s so itchy. I don’t get bit when I use this spray. I also use it on my dogs because I worry about heart worm. The dogs don’t mind it at all and it seems to be keeping the mosquitos off of them as well. Highly recommend this spray!

2nd Update- back to 3 stars, after using the replacement- Probably once or twice, the same thing now happen again and the sprayer does not want to come back up after you push it down... Basically making it useless unless I buy a separate empty spray bottle to dump the product in, so it can be sprayed. Updated : I went to return it and they immediatly (next day) sent me a new one and the sprayer works fine on the replacement. yay (see updated above)This might be a good product, but the sprayer does not work no more she's pumping a 1000 times making it almost useful without much effort you get 1/4 of a square after 20 pumps. Seems like other people also have the same issue

Sprayed on hands while sleeping. No bites in morning.

We are dealing with a lot of mosquitos currently, so this product was a must for us. Our dog isn't crazy about us applying this every early morning and later in the day. He'll start rubbing against his bed. The smell IS strong, so what we do is spray it on a paper towel, then lightly rub each paw, a little on his tummy, top of head and across his back. It seems to be helping.

I can see why this has several poor ratings because I don't think it's extremely powerful as you might expect Deet bug spray to be. Of course, you can't have your dog licking a bunch of that stuff, so I think this is absolutely your next-best option. If the mosquitoes are really bad, nothing's going to save you or your pet. Not this spray or any other trick out there. But when the mosquitoes are mild/average, then this product works really great! I have a greyhound and he's bald on his entire belly, neck, and butt. When he gets bitten, his paper-thin skin instantly bruises into a brilliant red spot, so there's no hiding whatsoever when he gets a bite. We just spent 5 days in the North Maine Woods region and he probably suffered 4-6 bites the whole time, almost exclusively before this spray had been applied. In fact, we used a significant portion of the bottle on ourselves (hence I'm here reordering) and the smell is much more tolerable than other sprays. It basically smells like strong lemonade. I didn't notice very much of a residue on the fur either, although it did make my dog a bit more greasy after the week was through. One application seemed to last several hours, but this is not waterproof. My only flaw would be that the mist produced by the spray bottle is too fine and spreads out too much. I think quite a bit of the mist just misses or blows away.

Ingredients include Citronella, highly toxic to cats but recommended for cats?? Having hunted for a SAFE mosquito repellant that I could use as we have pets I discovered this and assumed it would be safe as it made for the use ON dogs and cats, however on reading through the ingredients it contains Citronella, all my research shows that Citronella is highly toxic to cats and this is borne out by many research papers to show this, so how can this be sold for this purpose?

Me and my daughter attract mosquitos like crazy,this product was not very effective to be homest,i poured my self and her with the solution yet we got some bites.

I used this on myself and my dog last night, and I have been bitten to pieces precisely where I sprayed myself (mostly on the back of the neck and stomach!) My poor dog has also been scratching all night. Don't bother with this. Absolute waste of money! If I could give it a 0 rating, I would!
