Wanting to count rotations of a cylinder in both directions, feeding line out and retracting back to 0.** A: It only counts the magnetic pole on/off, regardless of direction. So I'm a nutshell, no...it only counts up. **Q: Can a wire in a momentary switch for the counter instead of the hall sensor?** A: That's what I did. Attached it to my press and it counts finished rounds as they come off the press.
