Overall, this model was well made and came with everything needed for a person that does not have a stock of paints and brushes. I did buy a finer brush to help with some detail, but it isn't necessary. You will need tweezers as some of the parts are quite small. The paint that is supplied is easy to work with a dries quickly, but there are colours called for in the instructions that are not supplied. I don't think the extra colours are necessary as the model turned out just fine without. There are a few places in the instructions that are not very well explained, but if you have any modeling experience and some imagination, it is not a big issue. The only frustrating part was having to drill holes in the stacks and the deck for the "cables" (thread) and then trying to tie knots inside the stacks... my suggestion; patience and glue!
