I have built a couple of these kits. How can you resist a Corsair??? Great detail and easy assembly. Take care if building with the wings folded, the struts are not that strong.

First of all I must state that I am still building this model of the Tamiya F4U-1A Corsair. But so far so very good. The parts fit together with incredible accuracy. And the 1:48 scale is a joy after so many 1:72 scale aircraft that I’ve built recently. I am taking my time with this kit. Working on one section at a time. I’ve also purchased some 0.3 and 0.8mm copper wire for it to place on the wheel well glued with Apoxy Resin glue and UV light. Placing with a cocktail stick. A technique I have used for the pilots goggles and the instrument panel as if to show glass. The cockpit is incredible and again this scale is wonderful. It’s even making me think of getting the larger 1:32 scale in the future. It’s a joy to make if you take your time

でっかいプロペラを回すのと脚を短くするために逆ガル翼になったらしい。そして、その強烈トルクを解消するために垂直尾翼に細工が成されている。やや右に切れており、また触ってみると厚さが違うのが分かる。こんなところも再現している辺り、地味にスゴい。さすが。
