The paint job looks rushed. I wish the paint could've stayed on the flowers. I also thought this was Japanese but says it was made in China. A good value for the price.

Like it alot. Pour a little tea, stays warm in pot. No 5 as the string handle is already loosening and will need to be replaced, though i used it only for a few weeks.
