Very sharp

These scissors have longer-but-thinner blades than the other pair of 8 inch scissors that I have. The steel is listed only as "stainless;" however, there are many grades and types of stainless steel. These are functional scissors for home and office work. I would not expect them to hold up to strenuous work, but they should be fine for normal paper and tape cutting usage such as one might do around the house.
