Just what I needed. Just a little taller than the one I replaced but it worked out just fine

The switch itself turned easily. There is no separate knob, the knurled brass piece at the end of the switch IS the knob. Beware, the switch's shaft is made of soft plastic. I was trying to install it in a very tight spot in a pole lamp. I pulled a bit too hard on the end of the switch to try and get it into the mounting hole, and the shaft broke, ruining the switch. Not really the switch's fault, nonetheless that seems a bit cheesy/cheap. If there were no real difficulty in mounting it, the switch would probably worked well for a long time.

Used this to replace a broken switch. Was easy to do and this new switch has been installed for a year now and its still going strong.

Used this to replace the switch on a vintage fan and if you don't look real close, it's a very good match. Works as expected, good size, had plenty of room to adjust it to fit the curve of the stamped metal housing. Good wire gauge.

The easel lamp on my workbench is so old I can’t remember. The switch finally wore out. This is a perfect replacement, and it came with a spare! Much cheaper than buying a new lamp! Difficultly of installation had more to do with the tight fit inside the lamp and was no fault of the part.
