Incase of home recording, this mic sensitively captures tiny sound of home activities even in far feet away in the next room. Dampning the background noise by surrounding inside blaket or say sound proof material dint work much and vis a vis degrade the actual recording sound due to closed atmospheric effect. As soon as you will put headphone to see how your record quality is, you will find tiny background activity sounds.

This microphone is high quality, both in build and in audio quality. it is easy to setup with just needing to plug it in and following the included instructions to ensure that its volume is appropriate. The microphone comes included with a small tripod to mount it on to allow it to point towards the desired audio source (usually you). The microphone is a little heavy and the small tripod is prone to falling over if bumped but if you dont move it, it's perfectly adaquate. It can pick up voices with crystal clear quality making this a good mic for talking or recording. I bought this microphone to talk to people over the internet and to record my guitar, for this it is excellent. It can pick up the softest of plucks and the hardest of strums just fine making music recordings possible with it. along with its mount, it comes with a small carrying bag and a 2m cable making it easy to place anywhere you need. When plugged in it automatically installs its required drivers which include a virtual audio cable. This allows you to switch software to output its audio back into your microphone. This is very useful for things like soundboards where you want to blend sound effects with your voice. The microphone has a dial on the device to adjust the blend between the microphone's audio and its input from the virtual audio cable. The microphone also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack which allows you to hear your voice live without the delay usually caused from software's audio monitoring. The second dial controls the volume of this monitoring feature. Neither dial however controls its output volume to the computer. Overall, this is a wonderful microphone. It has everything a person might need in an audio input device. While it may seem expensive, in terms of audio equipment this is an affordable option without sacrificing quality.

Ya conocía la calidad del audio así que no estaba cogiendo algo a ciegas. Sencillamente lo compré por dos cosas... primera porque me lo recomendaron y segundo porque aunque tiene una calidad de audio excelente, comparado con algún micro del mismo rango de precio, es un peliiiin menos sensible. Obviamente si estamos grabando en una wisper room o tenemos un estudio perfectamente aislado acusticamente, no vamos a tener problemas con otro tipo de micro más sensible, pero si grabamos un poco en plan casero y luego tenemos que limpiar audio... uff!!! ahi es donde entra este AT2020 porque tiene un equilibrio muy bueno entre sensibilidad y calidad de sonido y eso, en un ambiente de grabación casero nos va a ahorrar trabajo o directamente nos lo va a evitar. Por eso decia en el titulo que a veces más no es mejor. No tiene mute ni control de ganancia en el mismo micro, en cuanto al botón de mute lo he echado en falta, pero no el control de ganancia, al final con la conexión USB lo hacemos directamente del ordenador y no estamos siempre cambiando esa ganancia. Si que lleva en el micro el control de mix y el control de volumen del auricular, el auricular pega fuertecillo. Obviamente con el patrón cardioide tenemos que hablar en el mismo eje que la parte frontal del micro y AT nos ayuda con la inclusión de un LED azul que es donde tenemos que dirigir nuestra voz. También me ha gustado el sistema de sujección, se ven tuercas de calida y aprisionan, fijando el micro en su posición correcta a las mil maravillas. La bolsita de transporte y para guardarlo me ha parecido muy bien, la caja tambien es un buen sitio para guardar el micro si lo no estamos usando porque lleva una forma pre-cortada en espuma muy maja. Dicho esto, he grabado un pequeño video para que lo vierais... la parte final del video he usado el audio del micro directamente, pero vamos, la calidad es muy buena.
